The call centre system for arranging appointments is totally dysfunctional. Has not improved since my last visit two years ago. Be prepared for long long waits and repeated apology messages. This would be very hard on reception staff too; consumers would be ready to combust by the time their call is answered

Only complaint is they have NO Medicare rebate or item numbers on MRIs for Out Patient services. That’s not good enough!
Your MRI can cost anywhere between $300 and $600, plus extra for additional requirements.
Other Medical Imaging Services such as I-Med offer Medicare rebates on nearly all Oncology requests. Including MRIs, Mammograms, Ultrasounds, etc..
That is patient care.
QScan needs to match this if they want to be competitive.

I went to Qscan Bruce as it was the only MRI machine & appointment time that suited my Sydney Cancer specialist. I advised I normally have scans in Sydney but on this occasion was unable to attend. I queried cost and was advised Medicare rebate applied. I also said I was on Disability pension for Cancer treatment and they assured me a valid Medicare item number applies and rebate would be received. I paid $600 and Medicare item number was invalid. I explained situation and they were dismissive, rude, basically said there was no was their receptionist would have told me this. AVOID at all costs, unless you can afford 100% payment or have what they've advised in writing.

Big thank you to the Team at QScan Belconnen Calvary. I was seen today ..early.. and the processing, testing and imaging team were fabulous. There appeared to be some emergency issues impacting their day but the staff dealt with all patients in a kind, caring and respectful manner. However, some patients need to be more respectful to staff under pressure. You know who you are. Someone is always watching and knowing.

The scan and technicians were efficient, not friendly but busy. My score is low due to the telephone service issues for booking.
After waiting an hour in their phone queue I was cut off as I got to be first in the queue and another 44 mins of listening to the voice recording 104 mins in all nearly sent me into ED as a mental health patient.
Due to a recent unfortunate diagnosis this is a repeating issue and I have to really find some resilience to ring for other appointments for further follow up radiology.
Please oh please add some music and play the recording intermittently along with your helpful que place voice.

Sat on hold for over an hour on the phone and then got hung up on. Qscan Westmead answered my call and my question in 5 minutes.

Hire more people if it takes an hour to hang up on a customer Qscan Calvary Hospital

Due to brain tumours I have multiple MRIs & always have them here. The staff are lovely, friendly & efficient. The only negative is having to wait so long on the phone to book an appointment.

Was told before scan it was totally covered by medicare. Then after scan was asked to pay $540. Criminals!
