i’ve been to this pathology a couple times and every time i’ve had a not nice experience. there were no special instructions for the samples i had to hand in but the lady had said that she couldn’t take some of the samples as they were too old which i was unaware of, she was very belittling about it and gave back my old samples and told me to deal with them myself instead of putting them in the bin right beside her. i also had to get bloodwork done asap and she laughed at me and made me feel miserable when i asked for a smaller needle due to the fact i bruise very easily. she moved the needle around multiple times which was quite painful and tried a couple times to get the vein in which she decided to try my other arm. she also started blaming me for not drinking enough water and not clenching my fist enough, i’m pretty sure 2.8L of water is more than enough water and my fist was definitely clenched. when she put the strap on my other arm she pulled out the big needle and went to unpack it without asking she just said “it won’t hurt i’m going to try anyway” i had already stated that although i have a low pain tolerance i wasn’t worried about the pain i was worried about the bruising as i had work straight afterwards. i ended up asking for my referral back as i was very uncomfortable with her trying to convince me multiple times to make it “easier” for her. also stated that i get very uneasy due to tachycardia and she rolled her eyes. you should accomodate for your patients always.

I have been coming here every 2 weeks throughout my pregnancy for bloodwork - she is a very skilled phlebotomist! I have tiny veins that most find very tricky to work with, but that's not a problem here. And she's very nice to boot. I don't go anywhere else if I can help it.

Another review here mentioned obscure instructions about the timing of fasting tests, but that's not the phlebotomist's job to explain - that's your doctor's responsibility!
