The elderly reception staff at the medical imaging department are extremely cold and unfeeling, with expressionless faces. When you greet them or say thank you, they don’t respond at all, which is very rude. It was my first time visiting this hospital, and I went to the wrong place. I asked a receptionist on the second floor, who was also a woman in her 60s. She might have assumed my English wasn’t good, and treated me with an arrogant attitude. However, once she realized my English was fine, her attitude shifted immediately, which was very obvious. Honestly, it’s really disgusting to see such behavior from the older generation. The younger generation is so much better in comparison. The staff at the information desk, both men and women, are very friendly. I don’t understand why these elderly people carry so much resentment to work. If they find the job so painful, they should just retire and make room for younger people.

I can only admire the level of care and efficiency at this hospital.
I arrived at Emergency on a Saturday night. Within a few minutes I was checked in, had my tests and diagnosis in about 30min flat. I was taken to a sparkling clean private room at the Respiratory ward and had my IV drugs dripping in no time.
To the doctors, the nursing and cleaning staff. You do a tough job every day with a smile on your face. Hats off and all respect. Thank you!! ?

Due to recent hospital stay the medication the had provided has now backfired in a terrible outcome they had given me too much medication ( strong opioids) and was told to take them with a schedule they had put in place for me

I should have trusted my gut cause working in the medical system I knew that the amount and daily intake they advised was WAY TO HIGH.
Due to this im now suffering with opioids withdrawal the worse feeling I’ve EVER EXPERIENCED
Due to their negligence I’m in and out of hospital everyday ( at a different hospital) the doctors I have been seeing has seen the schedule they provided and even said themselves that this was TO MUCH OPIOIDS INTAKE
I expected the best from prince of wales and now would never go back
I understand that they tried to get me out of pain but now has come at a worse cost than before… and has effected my life with work and income

They should have known better! And shouldn’t just give people medication when there are SIDE EFFECTS that will cause any person more harm, I felt like they gave me something in the moment just so they can push me out and didn’t actually care of my wellbeing.

I’ve been suffering from ear infection almost 3 weeks. While writing this comment, I’m still suffering from ringing in my ear. This week, it seems that my condition gets worse. Last week, I got a chance to visit ent clinic of this hospital. As a result, the doctor just asked me to go home and wait for recovery. He virtually did nothing. No treatment was given. He just asked two trainees/nurses(Not sure who they are) to have a look at my ear canals. Then he just concluded that I just need to wait for recovery based on both trainees’ observation and my description. I’m really disappointed and will never come to this hospital again. That was too ridiculous. Who can tell me the reason why a doctor can conclude confidently without his own check on patient’s condition?

My experience as an outpatient has been appalling . Forms and referrals lost in several different clinics and what they do ? Blame me and expect me to fix their mistakes which is appalling. Made all of my appointments in person on the day the dr gave them to me so there’s no excuse. I understand mistakes get made. Don’t blame the patient . You’re there to help not treat them with contempt. Going to st Vincent’s next time . Be nicer to your patients powh
