I attended this clinic on 15 October 2024 to ask for a second opinion on symptoms that were bothering me.. The Dr chastised me and accused me of doctor shopping. He advised I should go back to my regular GP as he felt starting from scratch was a waste of time. Dr begrudgingly diagnosed me with strained back muscles, gave me a sheet of exercises to do and recommended massage. He could not have been more wrong. After ongoing pain, I attended A&E where I was diagnosed with terminal cancer. After my diagnosis my wife met with the Practice Manager, who was rude, dismissive and arrogant. She had no care for us whatsoever. I have since lodged a complaint with the Ombudsman as this can not happen to another patient. I am writing this review to hopefully prevent any other patient going through what our family is going through. It is too late for me however my goal now is to spread awareness to others.

Having had a GP In Brisbane for 32 years I was quite anxious to be seeing a new GP in Hervey Bay. On arrival on a Saturday afternoon ( very handy as a working person) I was greeted with a big smile by a lovely receptionist. I had filled out some forms on line but on arrived i was asked to fill out some more forms as a new patient. It was a quick easy task and I was seen pretty immediately after the receptionist processed my paperwork. The doctor was delightful and extremely knowledgeable with pain management. Having suffered a rare back condition for 16 years it was wonderful to be told there was much better pain medication I could be on. The doctor explained in detail all aspects of my medications and what better options I could be prescribed. I was relieved and overwhelmed with the compassion I was shown. If I could award ten stars I would.
