I was judged by the people at Pointcare , I left due to very poor support and with jennifer and Moses it was all about the hand in the pocket, they are getting bigger and less care 4 the clients , I would not take anyone there . Other people around who have got there heart in there job and the clients are happy .

Point Care provides spectacular services to their clients. The team is very professional, committed and passionate about their work and very lovely to talk to. I recommend them to anyone looking for quality NDIS support.

Although a couple of the support workers, based out of Townsville, are great to deal with. The management of this office as well as the owners, are problematic to say the least. (Dodgy as..)

Any participant, as well as their Support Coordinator, should be very careful when reading over any service agreement from Point Care.

Anyone with even a rudimentary grasp of written English, even Australian, should pick out glaring inadequacies in both grammar and totally non-sensical gibberish interspersed throughout what appears to be a genuine service agreement.

For example, this is a verbatim quote of just one item that participants are expected to accept:
"I consent the release of any information which the organization or it's staff require to respond the follow concern(s) or issue(s):"

This is EXACTLY as per what is typed as one clause on one page making up the total service agreement.
And they do not, at any stage, provide a list of any concerns or issues that they should or could put there.

Naturally, I put "No" under that clause. In me doing so and upon Point Care realising it, they withheld my support in an attempt to force me to remove my "No", agreeing with that clause and leaving it as is before recommencing support.

No one should leave blank areas on a document they are signing where, after signing, someone else could come along and write anything that they like.

However with any due diligence on behalf the the participant or the care team should see that most of the content makes the document a VERY DANGEROUS THING TO SIGN.

So "caveat emptor". In other words be very careful what you sign.

As there is no way the company will allow you to rely on that document.

Remember though that you can, and should, rely on the NDIS and the general guiding rules to fall back on when the service eventually fall apart due to action or inaction on the part of Point Care.

Yet another dodgy NDIS provider that Bill Shorten should be ousting from what is otherwise a great and necessary system to protect and support those truly in need.

"A Current Affair" or that other program should focus their spotlight onto this company so as to cut out this piece of rot before the whole apple is spoiled.
