We have nothing but positive things to say about the team at Pitstop Health. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by warm and friendly receptionists. Both of our children have seen Dr Jack Hsu for ADHD assessment and treatment plan. He is knowledgeable, patient and thorough. It has made a tremendous difference in our children's schooling. We've also heard great things about Dr Patrik Ho from friends who see him. For anyone looking for excellent child psychiatrists, I would highly recommend Pitstop Health.

I came to Pitstop Health at the beginning of the year to start my ADHD journey. I was initially apprehensive, but from the moment I walked in, the staff were warm and welcoming which instantly putting me at ease. Dr. Jack Hsu, who I consulted with, was fantastic –he was thorough, professional, and compassionate. He really took the time to understand my specific challenges and worked closely with me to develop a plan that has genuinely made a difference in my life. While taking the first steps toward diagnosis can feel daunting, the entire process—from referral to initial assessment to ongoing appointments—has been surprisingly smooth. Pitstop Health has exceeded my expectations, and I can confidently recommend them to anyone looking for personalised, effective mental health care.

In my opinion, Dr Patrik Ho is one of the best psychiatrists in Brisbane. He is a phenomenal clinician, truly gifted as a therapist (he has helped me as a mother so many times with a sentence or advice/guidance) and clinically always on point with various options/adjustments for us to consider. He has helped our family and our 12 year old with severe ADHD, anxiety and bullying trauma immeasurably. We are so very thankful we have Patrik as our son’s psychiatrist and he runs an amazing practice with other clinicians.

My daughter was referred by GP to see psychiatrist in Pitstop Health and booked for her 2nd 1 hour appointment 14pm-15pm on 14/03/2025 Friday - today, with her Mum. and surprisingly she told by manager that she need to pay 2 hours when checking out on counter, which is aud840.
Then my daughter's mum called me and put me over the phone to have a unhappy conversation. I said we only been booked for 1 hour consultation, and if there is a change on the consultation, we need be notified for it for such big surcharge on the fee. But The lady manager M.L insisted that its my daughter's responsibility for changing the consultation to 2 hours because doctor need 2 hours to complete and we need to pay for it. I said its not my daughter's responsibility for this and I can only pay one hour consultation fee aud420, rather than 840 for 2 hours, because we were only booked in for 1 hour, and we're not been advised when appointment duration changed for such an expensive consultation.

After 10-20minutes heat exchange over the phone, we didn't reach any outcome. the doctor Jordon Liu came out surprisingly found my daughter still there, and told my daughter's mum in Mandarin that we only have one hour consultation. he will try to talk to big boss see if can change the invoice. after my daughter's mum passing on this information to me, I asked the manager over the phone that if she think this behavior is greedy. she said no. and I asked her then why doctor was telling only 1 hour service, and she can invoice us 2 hours? she didn't answer and said she need to end this conversation.
then her mum left the clinic without paying the fee, and I asked the manager to send me the invoice.

And unfortunately my daughter was in the scene to see the argument which even stressed her.

later on I found out my daughter was made a bit 10-15m wait to enter the doctor's room, and came out about 10-15m early for 2 hours calculation. and doctor has a bit unformal talk with my daughter after formal consultation for report. so the doctor only charged us 1 hour according what he was telling to her mum after he finishing the following patient.
My compliant on this clinic are:
first, its very unprofessional for this manager (or managing of this clinic), with discrepancy on billing customer on counter with the actual time from doctor.
second, without noticing patient on such change which lead to big cost change, and force patient to shoulder the responsibility.

And the owner reply below its just a statement of politics to me. Didn't answer my question: why doctor came out later to confirm it's 1 hour consultation, but you charge me 2 hours? If you really care about patients, why my daughter was in tears on the scene because the argument with her mum? Why you didn't notify her mum on the extension of the hours? I was not presenting at that time doesn't mean I didn't know the situation because I was over the phone talking to your manager and her mum. What I can feel about your management is just money care, not patient care. ( but I don't feel the doctor in this way).
And her mum just told me that there were other patients in the scene, they pointed out that this argument should not happened in front of kids. Is this what you mentioned in the reply that boasting you are professional and patient oriented?
Another point is you can't extend the appointment without our consent, by charging us aud420 an hour. How do you know people can afford it? You extend the hours under name of service quality, but cause trouble to customers.
