Had a very harrowing experience of late having uvb treatment at the Skin Clinic and treatment was halted, apparently nursing staff aren't comfortable with my behaviour but upon enquiring what it was that I did wrong there wasn't a satisfactory answer; from either the management nor from the Doctor who said that quote" you push people to the Max "and when I asked him to substantiate his claim he said "you just do!" Finally he did say it's how I communicate, well excuse me for breathing ( I neither was abusive nor aggressive nor confrontational and certainly no saint)
I feel intimidated; Albany being a small town we aren't spoilt for choice.
Been going to Pioneer Health for around 10 years relatively problem free.
Hope we can learn through all this and stop bullying others, it isn't my intention to offend and if I did I wholeheartedly apologise as to what exactly I'm not sure only the staff know 🤔
I'm very distressed and extremely disappointed
I'm sure Dr David Taj can do better?

Following up on the above negative fb. this year
Have experienced a vast change of attitude and professionalism from admin and staff; onyer Davo!(Dr T) Some people are less egotistical and willing to listen to thier credit. It's upon negative feedback that one can improve and build excellence, constructive criticism is vital
Thank you to all concerned!

I have been to this practice twice over the course of 5 years and both times I have left in tears and absolutely powerless. If I could give them negative stars I would. This is the most judgmental practice I’ve ever set foot into. The doctors are incapable of empathy and unless you’re upper middle class and white they don’t really want to help, too bad 7 years of med school can’t teach empathy. They have a drop in service for First Nations people yet they stare down their nose at patients and have zero cultural training. Indigenous people only go there because it’s one of the only bulk billing places in Albany and I shudder at the thought of the kind of medical “help” they’re receiving as I am white passing and still received poor treatment. Dr Buis is the least compassionate person I’ve ever met. I was in for very sensitive topics and he made snide comments about it. This place is the epitome of the state of the Australian healthcare system. Got a nice new shiney building but can’t provide a decent service. I refuse to grovel and act grateful for a broken system just because other countries may have it worse. Do better.

My husband attended the skin clinic. After assessment, he was booked for excision biopsy of two lesions and another biopsied. He was not given a copy of the results, just to it was nothing to worry about. A close family member died from skin cancer so this is poor!! The information about fees was included in the procedure booking form but there was no explanation that the fees stated were not able to be claimed from Medicare. $120 out of pocket paid to Pioneer Health and $290 to the doctor. There was insufficient time booked for the entire procedure so he had to return the following day for the biopsy of the lesion that was of most concern! If this procedure was done as a day hospital procedure, all these out of pocket costs would be paid by our health insurance, but the option of a day hospital procedure wasn’t offered. Won’t be using this facility again!

The worst healthcare service in Australia. From reception staff giving out test results and misinformation or the wrong test results. The reception staff also feel the ability to give medical advice past go to the hospital, this practice operates outside the Health Consumers Councils grasp as complaints to their governing body have been stonewalled. The practice tried to refuse bulk billing and charged well over $80 for a 12 minute appointment if you are able to get one. Most doctors are booked out weeks in advance having however, just wasted millions of dollars on a new building. The doctors are old, and new age and have no sympathy for anything at the price they charge. I would save my money and go to any other medical practice in the great southern...

Reception staff are rude, the young girl tried to tell me to just go to headspace for help? Without listening to me or finding my referral with them.
Headspace can't diagnose or medicate patients?
Absolutely poor practice for reception staff who have no medical qualifications. Will not return and all family will be finding a new practice.

Impossible to get an appt with my dr after following him from another centre. As he is a co-prescriber for my mental health script it makes love fe difficult, to say the least. Staff are not friendly or very helpful.

Had a blood test here last year and ended up with the biggest bruise possible, yes, I was expecting a little bruise or nothing at all to form following the blood test but not one as big and dark as a spider, I don’t understand how someone can do such a bad job at taking a simple blood test.

I also had an appointment booked which my mum had organised for me and you decided to cancel it at 2pm, that is unacceptable as most people like myself are still working at that time which I was, we don’t have all the free time in the world you know. You should at least change your confirmation time to a more suitable time to give people a chance to respond for goodness sake. Did I also mention that I already lead a very busy and stressful lifestyle? Good thing I didn’t need my stupid appointment anyways. I hope I never have to deal with you guys again. 😡
