I am a passing traveller. Went to the pharmacy to get antibiotic for infected foot. Previous antibiotic wasn't working and I was in a lot of pain. A doctor, over the phone, suggested a different antibiotic. The pharmacist asked to look at my foot. One look and he concluded the infection is gone and I don't need antibiotic. He suggested Savlon and Nurofen and time. This worked very well. I am commending the pharmacist for going way beyond the call of duty and saving me unnecessarily going on an antibiotic. Thank you.

My elderly parents buy a lot from this chemist. TBH I’m not sure why because i find them hopeless every time i give them another go, but my parents like to support local businesses. Mum asked the girl in her 20’s for bubble bath and she took her to the hand soap. Mum said no, she wants bubble bath. The girl took her to shower gel. Again mum said no, she wants bubble bath. The girl dragged her to the kids section and said “looks like we’re sold out”. The next time mum went to the chemist they over-charged her. Really? Your staff are honestly in need of serious amounts of training or common sense.

Tried to support this local business, waited over an hour only to have mistakes (blamed on the locum pharmacist). Staff standing in the dispensary talking about what alcohol they like to drink. You’ve lost us as locals - very unhappy about your lack of service. We could have driven to Bundaberg and back in the time you wasted today. If this was the first time we had received poor service here at Bargara Pharmacy I would have said nothing but it isn’t.

I was in your pharmacy today at 8.15am getting multiple prescriptions for infusions for my mother who is palliating at home. The pharmacy did not have all the required medications and advised me that they would be delivered this afternoon.
I have called the pharmacy multiple times this afternoon with no one answering my calls. We have not received the urgent medications and it is now 4.30pm. I’m utterly disappointed in the lack of a service (delivery) that was promised this morning. This poor service shows no compassion, empathy or understanding of what myself and my family are experiencing in a very sad time of our lives 🙁 🙁

Terrible service. Requested no generics, got generics. Only dispensed 4 of the 6 scripts. Will not give medication if you still have a weeks supply. Travelled all around Australia & world never had problems until I visited the this poor excuse for a chemist.

A few years ago the kiwi guy pharmacist was really helpful. Most of the support staff were hopeless and incompetent though. After he left it was a really dysfunctional and I bought from chemists in Bundaberg. I tried Pharmacy Bargara Central again the other day. It seemed better until i approached the counter for a product that i didn’t want the whole of bargara to know i was buying. I quietly asked for it by name. ‘Helpful’ staff member wanted to know what i was using it for. Honestly Probably the purpose clearly written on the box. The customer waiting chairs are lined up directly in front and were full of bored old people and my neighbour who seemed interested to hear my response. Honestly why would you put the chairs directly beside where people hold personal and private discussions? Why would staff think it is ok to ask deeply personal questions at normal volume like it was no big deal? I said i got it wrong and bought a different product that i didn’t want or need. Then i drove into bundaberg to a chemist that respected my privacy and didnt treat me like an idiot to purchase the product i needed. I will not be back to the bargara chemist. Maybe they should rename it to Optus Pharmacy so customers get a heads-up that their personal information will be shared freely.

Terrible..... they couldn't find completed prescription that was left, to fill, over three hours earlier then we had to queue up behind 6 others to pay at desk near entrance. Only one staff member as Cashier, the rest just dithering or walking around eating their lunch. Terrible shame there is no immediate competition but will now travel to another pharmacy.
