WITHOUT PREJUDICE

The PetStock Mikdura staff were very rude and argumentative when I asked for a refund on a faulty product. The supervisor initially said I was entitled to a refund but was argumentative about it and, when I argued back because I didn't like the way I was being spoken to, she seemed to get offended and refused to process the refund, saying that I had been rude to her when in fact it was the other way around. There are no legal grounds to withhold a refund in this manner, on the basis of "I feel offended". Meanwhile, another shop assistant was staring at me from a distance with a nasty smirk on her face. What attitude! Normally the staff there are very pleasant. I asked can we all just calm down and move on with the task but they refused to give me my refund and told me to move on - out of the store. The entire experience was so unnecessary and stressful and upsetting. They were all young and obviously had a chip on their shoulders. I tried ringing head office when I got home but was just put on hold for ages and I gave up. I've been shopping at Petstock for more than 40 years but I'll never shop there again. There is a great pet store that has moved to directly across the road from Petstock and the process there are remarkably competitive.

PS. Head Office did get back to me as stated below and I was very happy and reassured with their response.

Large range of pet stuff low range of live fish and it's not cheap on fish.

Love petstock. Has a great variety food and animals. I usually go for fish. They can be a little more expensive compared to other pet shops. Lovely staff.
