I was transferred to this hospital as a public patient with acute and chronic back pain after spending 10 hours at the public hospital. I arrived in the middle of the night and from the get go the staff was absolutely amazing. I seriously cannot fault a single member of staff from the nurses to the doctors to the catering staff. I was treated with so much kindness and respect and was never made to feel like a burden. The food was phenomenal also! I stayed nearly a week and every single day was a delight, being surrounded by such beautiful nurses truly helped me get better! I hope I don’t have to go back obviously but I would not be upset if I had to! A massive thank you to everyone involved in my stay.

Absolutely Exceptional care was provided to my Father in his final week of life. Dad was transferred here as a public patient late Nov 2024 when Redcliffe Hospital was full. Whilst on admission it was not expected it was his final week, it went on to be so and the care and support from ALL staff including kitchen staff, cleaners, nurses and the Doctor Lydia Mowlem was second to none. You would not think that a Private Surgical Ward could provide end of life care like they did. I will forever be grateful for his final week being spent being cared for with such consideration to him, and to us as a family. They were Angels !

My 5 stars are for the staff and food. Couldn’t fault them at all. Rehab team are fantastic.
This hospital is very very tired the facilities for the majority of the hospital are terrible . Some bathrooms are shared by 4 and it’s about as big as a shoebox. Trying to manoeuvre walkers, shower and commode chairs is ridiculous.
The views of the internal gardens is depressing the weeds haven’t been touched in a very long time. My view was of garbage bins and being woken in the middle of the night with the lids banging as the rubbish was put in. I mentioned it and it stopped for a few days and started again.

Very comfortable hospital. Really nice nurses, physios and other staff (cleaner, people bringing food). They were very attentive to my needs. I had a room to myself which was very spacious and had a good size bathroom attached. Meals were really good. Small size hospital which made it much quieter than the large hospitals. Only have pic's of the food.

I recently had a knee replacement at Peninsular Private Hospital . I had a week in the surgery ward and a week in the rehab ward . I cannot speak more highly of the care I received during my stay in both wards.
From the medical staff down to the catering staff I did not find a single thing to fault in their care and attention. I was always able to have attention if I needed it no matter what time of the day or night .
My experience in the rehab section was exactly as I needed and I left there with confidence that I would be able to care for myself at home on my own and follow up with my rehab . The twice daily sessions were just what we needed and a special mention should go to Michael our physio who brought fun as well as good advice to us all . Some of us patients became friends and enjoyed our coffee and cake at the end of the sessions .
Full marks to Peninsular Private Hospital and my only bad comment is that the bathrooms were not to standard and needed renovations.
