The service I received was not only substandard but also deeply concerning. The staff, including receptionists, spoke to me in a condescending and inappropriate manner, as though I owed them something. It appears they have little understanding that they are delivering a service within the Australian healthcare system, where duty of care is a fundamental obligation.

Furthermore, I was recently contacted by someone from the clinic and was essentially threatened in relation to a previous negative review I had left—apparently, Dr. Mendis was made aware of it. This is unacceptable and unprofessional. I left a review because I received poor service, and no patient should be intimidated or discouraged from sharing honest feedback.

No clinic has the right to tell patients not to return purely because they expressed dissatisfaction with the service. This is not only unethical but could potentially breach patient rights.

I urge you to look into this matter seriously. I hope appropriate steps are taken to ensure that such behaviour is not repeated, and that staff are trained to handle patients with the professionalism and respect they deserve.

One of the worst places to call. I called to book an appointment, but the lady asked whether any immediate family members would be attending There medical center. When I said no, she told me that no one could see the doctor unless an immediate family member was coming and that no new patients would be taken. She advised me to try again in a few months. What do they think of patients, telling them to try again in a few months? Worst receptionist ever.

Dr Mendis has been treating me for over 15+ years. I can highly recommend his services, very busy man but always willing to see his patients even if they book last minute. Great service always.

Worst receptionists ever! It was our first visit and very bad customer service.
Made an appointment for a specific doctor as this place comes up under the doctor’s name in a website and when we went there on time the receptionist said this doctor doesn’t come here anymore. They said that the trainee who answered the call must’ve made a mistake but they didn’t even apologise. The trainee or whoever made the appointment has not even written down my name properly. Dunno whose fault it was the trainee or the doctor. But they should’ve apologised at least for their mistake of making the appointment as if they still have this doctor at their medical centre. We would’ve made another appointment or look for another doctor if they said this doctor doesn’t come there anymore. They should update their system or tell their trainees about their available consulting doctors. They just wasted our whole day. A single sorry was not said but the receptionist was talking to us like we have done something wrong and she asks us to tell the doctor to update the website without admitting their fault.

Dr. Roshan Mendis comes from a background where his mum, brother and sister all are doctors. His mum is Professor Olga Mendis. A well known public figure amongst the Sri Lankan and Australian community. Dr.Roshan
has been my GP since year 2000. I will never hesitate to recommend him to anyone who is in need of a good, knowledgeable, kind and professional medical practitioner. He goes out of his way to examine and attend to patients needs. His beautiful wife Shrini and the friendly staff are kind and attentive too. Hats off to Dr. Roshan Mendis the guru of Hampton Park., Parkway Medical centre... You are beyond professional. Good on you Doctor.Keep up the good work.

Dr Mendis is the Best Sri Lankan Doctor in Hampton Park. He examines patients thoroughly and gives treatments accordingly. He is very kind hearted and helps Sri Lankans who does not have PR.
