I saw Dr. Sykes in June 2024 - the whole process from enquiring, booking an appointment to the consultation was such a positive experience. Admin, Kylee, was very helpful, warm and welcoming. I sought a specialist opinion from Dr. Sykes regarding a previous pregnancy and birth, as well as, specialist advice on my most recent pregnancy when planning for a safe delivery. Dr. Sykes was very thorough, reviewed documents I sent prior to my appointment, he listened to my concerns and was transparent & reassuring. I travelled over 1500kms for his specialist opinion.

I hold onto the kindness Dr. Sykes showed me, especially at a time where I needed answers and healing before bringing my second baby into the world. Dr. Sykes showed me the transparency and reassurance I needed. Dr. Sykes has a proactive attitude toward enhancing care for both mum and baby. I could not recommend Dr. Sykes enough.

Dr Sykes delivered my two beautiful babies. He made us feel so reassured and gave us the confidence to enjoy our pregnancy journey. The whole team have been so helpful and were only just a phone call away when ever we had a concern or needed to ask a question. We knew after our first baby that if we were to have a second we would choose Dr Sykes without a doubt. We will forever be grateful to Dr Sykes for bringing our babies into this world. I would highly recommend Dr Sykes and his team!

I honestly don’t know where to begin in thanking Dr Sykes for everything he did for us. It was such a crazy journey and such a long pregnancy but not only that a crazy start to Xavier’s life and me after birth. But I can say that I whole heartedly felt so safe and looked after by Dr Sykes the whole way through. With both my kids (although my first was no where near this complicated) I have never ones second guessed or doubted his ways of handling the situations. I remember waking up in ICU and he was standing by my bed holding my hand, and that’s all I remember. My husband and I only just a couple of weeks ago spoke about the call he got from Dr Sykes when I went into ICU after birth. And although he said he’s never cried so much or been so afraid of losing me he always knew that I was in great hands the whole way through. Dr Sykes was across it all, he turned up any time, anywhere it was required at very short notice and we are forever grateful having Dr Sykes as our obstetrician at both pregnancies. We couldn’t have asked for a more professional, experienced, and so caring obstetrician. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything you did and making me feel calm and safe in a situation that was not very calm really and quite nerve wrecking and at times scary. Our kids will forever be told the stories of their arrival and the amazing Dr Sykes who brought both of them into the world safely.

Dr Gary Sykes is a wonderful caring human put on this earth to help women through the most exciting and slightly terrifying time of their lives. He has a calm demeanour and a gentle nature. He was my birth partner (doctor) for my 2 sons and was honest and caring throughout both pregnancies and helped me deliver naturally, as per my wish, health happy babies. He ensured my husband was involved and comfortable throughout my pregnancies and during the birthing process. I have continued to value his opinion with my care as I progress in life and he has been kind and understanding throughout this process as well. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Sykes.

delivered my daughter 6 weeks ago. He provided excellent care for my baby and myself throughout the whole experience. His receptionist are beautiful and polite, which is an added bonus to your visits. Dr Skyes is definitely professional and highly experienced, I look forward to having more pregnancies managed by Dr Sykes.

I first saw Dr Sykes with concerns I could not conceive, I now have 3 beautiful babies!!! If I had not seen Dr Sykes I would not be blessed with the 3 children I have now. With all of my pregnancies I have had issues with low progesterone levels and without the knowledge that Dr Sykes has, my babies would not be here today . I have always felt at ease being in the care of Dr Sykes throughout my pregnancies, I can ask him any question in the world or tell him my worries and I would always leave the office worry free. I could walk away and be able to enjoy being pregnant instead of having my mind run wild with worry. He is the most caring and kind man and there is no other person that I'd ever allow to deliver my babies. The whole team at Obstetric Excellence are amazing! In my eyes Dr Sykes has only the best working along side him. The receptionists are beautiful ladies and are always just a phone call away. The team along side Dr Sykes in the operating theatre are absolutely amazing, which I have experienced a few times. If you want to feel safe and looked after with your pregnancies Dr Sykes is the man you want in your life.

He is very understanding to what I wanted during the whole pregnancy, very approachable and very easy to contact. He has lots of years of experience and uses modern technology .
