Today, I saw a nurse here (who also works at the Windsor Heart Specialist Suites on North East Road), and she was simply incredible. I can't remember her name, but she supported me and tried her absolute best to make me feel comfortable throughout my standing test in particular. Unfortunately, my body wouldn't allow me to complete the other half of the test, as I started to feel woozy. She informed me to lie down on the stretcher bed (for my lack of better terminology), while she delivered my results to Dr. Varghese. Despite not completely qualifying for a diagnosis of POTS, Dr. Varghese was thorough and professional when he explained the results of the standing test to me. Five stars 🙂

EDIT: I must admit, I am shocked to see some poor reviews for some of the patients. I have been here twice, and Windsor Heart Specialist Suites twice, and the staff were lovely and accommodating at both suites.

Specialist in taking your money.

Was sent a reminder text the day before my appointment saying that $158 was the fee for my consult, when I arrived and did my lung function text and then had my consult I was billed $288 instead.

I understand that tests generally cost money but I was never told that I would have to pay for the lung function test and there was never an amount that would be payable. Then on the day they surprised you with a bill double the size of the original.

Doctor Biraders suggestions for a 10 year smoker is to call the quit line or use your will power. Acting like nicotine doesn't have any physical withdrawals and I'm over reacting saying I need something to help calm me down.

Very disappointed and honestly a waste of time, didn't tell me anything my regular doctor hadn't already covered.

Will never visit again. The doctor was lovely but the front desk had a very rude practice manager. Was a bulk billed appointment, and I was asked to pay. A women came over whilst eating biscuits and abruptly shoved the receptionist aside and in a condescending authoritarian manner asked why i thought this was so. She proceeded to lean over the other worker making her feel uncomfortable before realising it was a bulked bill. Worst experience from a private practice I have encountered. One can see straight through when someone is being politely disrespectful and abrupt whilst giving that friendly smile. So rude, I feel for the girls on the front desk.

As a recent visitor to Northern Specialist Suites I found the reception and clinical staff extremely helpful.  I couldn’t find the rooms so the lovely receptionist went out of her way to firstly talk me through the location then meet me out in the street to accompany me to the practice.   Silas – the lung function technician was very thorough and explained the procedure.  All in all a positive experience.

Dr Usmani is a very caring and considerate specialist Doctor and has monitored and treated my husband with excellence for several years. Also he is always treated with respect and courtesy at the front office.

This place is good at taking your money but not providing a professional service or care.
Went to see Dr K about my problems.
Couldn't take my blood pressure because it wasn't working.
Didn't discuss issues which was stated on my referral.
Consultation took no longer than 4min and ask for $186 fee
Advised to get a blood test and come back in 2 weeks for another $186 fee No thanks

Both Dr Mustaq and Dr Usmani are excellent Specialists who have very positive, very professional and friendly approaches. I have been a patient of theirs since 2016, when I was hospitalised with a serious condition. Under their supportive care, I have made a full recovery, and am much healthier than ever before. They are easy to talk to, and really listen to your concerns, before deciding on the best treatment needed.
