I had an amazing experience at NBH, giving birth to my second son. We were greeted by a lovely midwife, Sam, who walked us through everything after my waters had broken and reassured me that I would get to birth the way I wanted. Then later that night - beautiful Rachel who had the birthing room setup and ready to go, read through and respected my birth preferences then helped me have the most amazing water birth (in the big birthing pool!). Then on the ward, we had the same midwife, Suzie, look after us 3 days in a row and she was so calm and reassuring - helping us kick off this next phase.

The birthing suite was huge, with everything we needed, the private room on the ward had a lovely big window (and my husband slept well on the pullout!), and the food each day was amazing - so important as a new mum!!

Thank you to all the team who helped us have an amazing birth here 🙏

I was admitted today for a dislocated shoulder ( surfing accident) by ambulance…. The whole experience was 100% fantastic. Excellent staff , excellent facilities, professional & efficient in all respects. Everything explained & acted on in the best possible manner. Thanks so much to all your staff , doctors, nurses , radiography etc. ***Northern Beaches….great hospital ! … Thanks again.

We recently welcomed our baby boy at NBH and couldn’t be more grateful for the outstanding care we received. From the moment we arrived, the entire team—from midwives to obstetricians to support staff—made us feel safe and supported.

The delivery itself went smoothly thanks to the calm professionalism of the birthing team. But what truly set NBH apart was how they handled an unexpected emergency situation after birth involving my wife. The rapid response, clear communication, and unwavering focus from the medical team was incredible.

We’ll always be thankful to NBH for guiding us through one of the most important—and emotional—moments of our lives. Highly recommend to any expecting families.

My wife had hip replacement surgery here in April 2025. The surgery was flawless from admission to getting to the ward. The treatment in the ward for her 2.5 day stay was faultless. My wife was constantly singing the praises of the nursing staff. They were attentive and friendly and could not have done any more for her.

Sounds familiar to Mona Vale Hospital in the 60's. Absolute cruel, disgraceful treatment when I was , giving birth. My 21st Birthday Cruel treatment is not an exaggeration. Many complaints during that time. My babies brain was damaged and bleeding. I have friends who were there to verify this complaint. Was there ever a case against this hospital.? 108 d that day x

My 85 years old father has been transferred to emergency after a nasty fall. He was covered in blood with a big bump on his head and swelled up shoulder. After checking his blood pressure and cleaning his wounds they discharged him and despite our desperate request to do a scan or a simple x-ray of his head and shoulder they refuse and ask us to take him home because they needed the bed.
Day after he lost his vision on the right side and after taking him to GP and the scan it has been confirmed that he had brain haemorrhage and fractured shoulder.
We feel so helpless, frustrated and overwhelmed as how corrupted is our hospital system. The negligent, refusal of treatment towards the vulnerable people is disgusting.
I tried to contact the patient relations department and left multiple messages, no answer.
Who will be hold responsible with what happened to my father.

This hospital delivers incredible care. The few times I've been through these doors, i have been treated wonderfully by the nurses and doctors and my medical care was thorough and professional.

I recently presented to this hospital with a potentially life threatening cardiac event. I was seen by a doctor and processed through the ED within 120 seconds of walking through the ED doors.
