The maternity ward in this hospital is absolutely amazing. Each and every staff member was compassionate. My birthing experience wouldn't of been as positive and smooth as it was without them. I felt heard and well looked after! They did everything they possibly could to set me and my baby up for success and always kept me informed every step of the way.

My care has been incredible! The whole job of an ED is to ensure there is nothing life threatening. I was admitted into hospital efficiently and both the medical and surgical teams worked incredibly well together to understand what was going on.

Every single person I’ve interacted with has been compassionate, knowledgeable and attentive.

Finally I loved the MyDHR app as a patient. It helped me feel confident that I had the information I needed and could easily read results allowing me to discuss them with medical teams.

I’ve been so impressed with my level of care. A massive thank you to everyone who had/have been involved with my treatments!

I had fall recently, I went to the walk in nurses station at Belconnen. They were great and very professional. They instruct me to go North Canberra Hospital for some x-rays. I did that today. Emily was very good at her job. The staff have very good customer services. Please don't take in to heart that you are not well like. You do outstanding work for Canberra area. Keep it up. Thank you.

Had a procedure done today at the Endoscopy Unit, Norh Canberra Hospital. Everyone I interacted with was amazing, from the admin staff to the nurses, the anesthetist, and especially Dr. James Riddell. So grateful for their kindness, care, and professionalism throughout the whole process! Thank 🙇.

Was experiencing urgent unknown symptoms i hadnt before so called an ambulance. A paramedic arrived before an ambulance, this person seemed considerate and understanding despite my struggles to communicate at that time.
when the 2 ambulance people arribed they stood to the side and gossiped, as if one was a newbie getting to know what its like but in an extremely inconsiderate way to me.. i was terrified and called the ambulance unsure what was happening to me but these people were in my house acting like i wasnt even there. After their arrival the paramedics attitude/behaviour changed and they also became more dismissive and aloof like they thought everything was fine. I wasnt in control of my body and was fully freaking out because as much as i tried to ask what was happening i couldnt and if i did they never gave an explanation... I was confused and terrified and felt ignored.
The ambulance ride my symptoms came on hard again after easing temporarily, i couldnt move my body as my normal expectancy and at times couldnt speak. I remember asking the person sat across from me what was happening to me, what was wrong? They did not respond. I remember when in times i was unable to speak i tried to signal with my eyes how scared and concerned i was but the person didnt seem to care despite all my attempts to communicate.

At the very beginning i said im autistic because i know how people word some questions can have a big effect on my answer, some things are worded in open ended or confusing ways so its very very likely that i will make some communication mistakes and felt it was necessary to communicate. Since that point all my motor and speach symptoms were dismissed... They seemed to falsley assume these were normal for me despite my attempts to say otherwise!

When i got to hospital i was sat in a corner to wait, unable to speak and move properly still, exausted. The people who drove me stood across from me where i was waiting and continued to chatter like i wasnt there, i still had no idea what was happening.
They made many failed attempts to get a cannula leaving me sore and bruised well over a week after this.
I had 1 xray and some blood drawn.
I was discharged with no way home in the middle of the night too exausted to even speak to anyone or advocate for myself or literally anything. This is what made me fully give up on medical professionals and have decided in any future emergencies id rather just deal than seek medical assistance in canberra. Bruce and woden are both horrible in my many experiences so far. Repeatedly dismissed and left confused and with more issues than i came in with..

This was from 24 april 2024 and i still have no idea what happened to me. I cant afford a dr to seek further clarity or anything

Very impressed with the 1st class trestment from this hospital over 3 weeks. Hospital in the home is also a wonderful service. All staff were competent, polite, and compassionate.
The only criticisms were parking and the food was just ok.
