I want to say a big thank you to the staff in emergency… the staff were amazing ! My father who is 87 felt loved and cared for.

Dr Lex was the most beautiful Dr I have come across who gave so much time for him.

Him and his staff were under so much pressure with the emergency room full and no beds ! They did so well in their circumstances to provide an outstanding service to make my father feel well looked after and cared for. We would all be lost without you ! I appreciate you all

Staff allowing up to 14 noisy people including children who ran around playing and squealing to visit a single patient in an intensive care ward, staff were alerted but said they "cant do anything" this is something that is seen more and more frequently disturbing other visitors and putting Patients at risk.. There are patients with very serious conditions how is this permitted when The Hospitals own visiting rules state 4 people Maximum and no children in ICU.... not good enough. Start enforcing visitor rules properly before the hospital is held accountable. Secondly visiting a dementia patient relative in the geriatric ward saw me dismayed that he was able to take a very bad fall when unattended when that was the very reason he was in there, also his bed was very unkempt (a trip hazard) and quite dirty with bloody dressings tangled in the sheets. What has become of our Hospitals.

Thankfully I’ve never had a procedure done at this hospital, but I’ve waited in the waiting room with other patients and the TV entertainment is absolutely terrible. The main issue is that they only play shows like the Today show, which either a. feature medical advertisements or advice that can be upsetting to patients or b. feature news that can also be distressing. To make it better, the hospital should play content like fun, family-friendly YouTube videos or more lighthearted shows, instead of news shows and distasteful advertisements.

This has to be the worst hospital in NSW. Phones not answered. Switchboard operators who are flat out rude and obstructive. Little to no information provided to emergency contacts. Rude staff lacking in empathy who just don't care. This is the worst hospital I have ever dealt with and I pity the poor people who desperately need medical care and have to attend at this wreck of a hospital. No sense of urgency. No regard for information sharing with carers. The excuse is always "we're busy". Well that's part of the job. I blame management. A very poorly managed hospital with zero accountability from the top down. Human beings deserve so much better. Would never happen on the north shore or eastern suburbs of Sydney. Western System residents always receive substandard services. Demand more and you will receive it.

I've had more fun at a bloody graveyard, This place is some sort of injury mill that must charge the insurance companies per the hour! Long story short these people focus on the cause rather than the injury. They made me do a book of paperwork and explain my day before they even booked me for treatment!!
Their pre existing condition is being a s*** house.

Cafe was nice

Went to the emergency department on Tuesday, waited around 3.5 hours. Was seen to, lovely nurses took care of me. After an X-ray, Blood test, ECG and CT scan I found out what was wrong with me. I stayed one night in the Short Stay emergency department ward, staff were lovely, nurses and doctors. Thank you so much for your support and helping me find out what were my symptoms and what the problem was. I felt well taken care of, only glitch was being discharged took longer than expected.

Would not send my worst enemy to this hospital. had a fainting episode and fractured my ankle at my dad's.
Was transfered to Nepean from Lithgow on good friday For surgery on fractured ankle. First night there I asked for crutches to go to the bathroom and was told it wasn't there department and I should have asked earlier. And proceeded to watch me hobble by myself using the back of a chair. Waited for pain meds and when they came in 45 minutes later was told to " relax mate".
Surgery didn't happen Saturday so was told it would be Tuesday. Tuesday came and I was told I could go..wasn't needed after all ( good thing they hadn't done it) and Id wasted the Easter long weekend in there. I was then asked to come back the following Monday for a check up. ( I'm in Wollongong). They gave me a cab charge there. No communication on if I'd be staying of I needed surgery or anything. Waited 3 hours to be be told I was good to go. Asked if they are can charging me back since they had be come here and not wollongong hospital. Was told no I'm on my own. Had no one who could get me so public transport for 3 + hrs after recent fainting episode and with crutches. I even had a fall leaving the hospital and broke my phone.
Absolutely the worse customer service and bedside manner.
