I recently visited this hospital as an overseas student and left feeling extremely frustrated and let down. Despite being in significant pain, I was only given painkillers, with no clear explanation of how I would be helped. Both my friend and I repeatedly asked how my condition would be addressed, but we were left waiting in pain for 30 to 45 minutes multiple times with no clear communication. The wait was unbearable, and I was just happy to leave by the end of it.

The doctor who treated me, Dr. Lisa, seemed very unsure and was unable to identify a diagnosis. After some time, she consulted the main doctor for guidance, which gave me the impression that she lacked the necessary experience and confidence to handle my case independently. Blood and urine tests were performed, but they didnโ€™t treat the root cause of my pain or inform me about what was going on. It felt like they were simply guessing what might be wrong. No experienced doctor took over my case, and ultimately, I was left in pain with no resolution.

Adding to the frustration, the whole hospital had a very strange vibe. The staff didnโ€™t seem knowledgeable, experienced, or qualified enough to provide proper care. The service quality was extremely low, and it was clear to me that this hospital isnโ€™t equipped to handle patients in distress. On top of all this, I was billed over $3,000 for this inadequate care. As an overseas student, this was an enormous financial burden for care that didnโ€™t help me. To make matters worse, the hospital has been taking ages to send the bill to my insurance.

I will never go back to this hospital again. Patients deserve prompt, competent attention, and my experience was far from that. I sincerely hope this hospital reevaluates its approach to patient care and ensures staff are properly trained and qualified moving forward.

I am absolutely appalled at the terrible experience we had today at NGH emergency/fast track department.
Staff who clearly had no idea what they were doing, incompetent, rude and condescending. Not even assessing my daughter with simple assessments like listening to her chest and checking her ears when those were the reasons we were there in the first place.
The staff in fast track obviously have no idea EVERYONE can hear everything theyโ€™re saying from the staff base. Ridiculing patients, bitching about fellow staff and gossiping instead of focusing on the room full of patients.
I left after 3 hours with zero answers or advice, almost no assessment of my very sick child and feeling extremely frustrated that the level of care was so awful. Not good enough!

I have had some pretty awful experiences with nurses and hospitals in general, but RN Kylie in the sexual health clinic was absolutely amazing. She made me feel so comfortable when put in an uncomfortable situation. Her bedside manner was perfect - she is definitely made for this role. Please thank her for doing such amazing work!

Went to ER this afternoon with sore ribs. Went through to Emergency Fast Track. I was looked after by Fleur, Chantal, Christian and Rob. What a wonderful, calming, friendly, thorough team. CT showed 2 cracked ribs.. l left with wonderful information and a plan for recovery. Fleur in particular was so good. She kept me informed and comfortable the whole time. It was obvious that the team loved what they did. Thanks to all of them for taking great care of me. I hope l don't see them again too soon ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜, but if l have to l know I'll be ok.

Over the past months , four members of our 3 generation family had cause to visit the emergency department. Our 2 yr old granddaughter, 7 year old grandson both with RSV related breathing difficulties through different nights . Our daughter , who has a medical condition that requires supervised saline infusions to prevent organ failure when she is ill & myself who slipped in shower at night with multiple bruising & muscle damage. As a family , we can't speak highly enough of the care we received , form the paramedics to the nurses & doctors. We are so lucky to be serviced by these respectful, caring people at our local Nambour Hospital.

I was treated with so much respect and dignity. The nurse staff and doctor staff (and admin staff - on the phone and in person!) were so beyond kind. If I ever need to go back to hospital again I will request this one 10/10. Huge thank you to Mackayla,
Erin, Katelyn, Lucy, Tim, Ant and Karen (sorry if I forgot some!). From telling me jokes when I cried to holding my hand and ensuring I was comfortable and okay every step of the way, this was a fantastic experience. Thanks guys โ˜บ๏ธ

Attended Nambour hospital Colonoscopy suite yesterday and felt compelled to leave a review that I donโ€™t do very often. The care and treatment I received from every single health professional was absolutely outstanding. Everyone from reception to the nurses, anaesthetist, surgeon and after care nurses were all extremely professional, caring, kind and friendly.
I felt at ease and very well cared for. Sunny coast residents are very lucky to have such a high class professional health service and I am so grateful Thank you to all the staff at the suite and best wishes going forward!

Not me but my son. He came here in 2023 while travelling and living in Sydney from the UK, they basically saved his life, before transferring him to the sunshine coast hospital and eventually to Brisbane. He was initially treated for meningitis and put into a coma. He was later treated for mastoiditis but the doctors at Nambour were brilliant and so kind to us back in the UK. I will be forever grateful to them as Tom has fully recovered.
