Excellent staff and wonderful care from the Rocklea MyLocalDoc. The medical staff are very caring and professional and I know I am in good hands whenever I am there (which is often, due to my condition). I could not ask for better treatment. All staff are always helpful and friendly. I recommend them very highly.

This is the most reliable and responsive GP clinic. Each GP we have seen has been attentive and genuinely listens to concerns, I have been impressed with the actions they take to help. I feel peace of mind that I will be heard when I attend this clinic. I am very grateful to have found them- they have genuinely helped me and my family with our health. They're support team are also amazing! The nurses are so patient and kind and the administration team have been so helpful and friendly as well.

I have had really good experiences at this practice, though it's a shame it's no longer a full bulk billing practice. In particular Dr Shimi is very thorough, caring and practical. I feel that she takes great care in listening to your concerns and is solutions focused. She also has an excellent knowledge of what support is available. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.

One of my daughters initially started visiting Dr Shimmi in her late teens and couldn’t speak highly enough, that’s when I switched Drs and I have been totally cared for ever since 😊

When the practice transitioned to 'mixed billing' a year or so ago after being an entirely bulk billed practice, a promise was made and even a little sign saying that Centrelink card holders who had been seen before 30th June 2023 would still continue to be bulk billed.
This was not honoured and soon a new sign with new dates appeared...
Now the policy is that it is up to the individual doctor, even if they have bulk billed you before. They tell you at your appointment that this will be the last bulk billing appointment, then suggest another 'bulk billing doctor' in the practice. They basically drop you as a patient! You then see this next doctor who will tell you this is the last time they'll bulk bill you, and so on.

This is a site with a somewhat chequered history. It started as Rocklea Medical Centre six or seven years ago, then was bought by a couple of doctors and became Doctors@Brisbane Markets. Then they sold up a couple of years ago and My Local Doc bought it. There have been significant changes of doctors with each new business. I have visited and consulted doctors in each of the differently owned centres at the same site. I respected the first two businesses as they bulk billed and showed respect.

I just feel the current group of doctors don't work as a team. When Dr Ash announced he didn't want to bulk bill any more explaining he "didn't want to work as much", the other doctor he had referred me on to, Dr Eunji Park, seemed annoyed and was quick to say that she didn't want to bulk bill me after this either. She actually yelled at me as well as her usual rude behavior of not even getting up to let you out of the room. She hides behind her COVID mask so she can mask her facial expressions.

I truly feel that the reason they open Sundays and not Saturdays is so that they can access the higher Medicare Sunday rates.

The most recent negative reviews don't surprise me. Some fairly significant things were overlooked in my medical 'care' from Dr Ash. I was attracted by the positive reviews of him after having seen completely different doctors when it was Rocklea Medical/ Doctors @ Brisbane Markets and to me he didn't live up. A huge and potentially life threatening condition was picked up by a GP when I was admitted to a hospital recently for an inpatient stay on a totally unrelated matter. I'd even been complaining to Dr Ash about the symptoms. I'm now thankfully on treatment to save my life. On a less important and quite comical matter, he told me that a discolouration of a nail was due to Band-Aid residue. It was a fungal infection and got so bad I consulted another doctor at another practice who immediately diagnosed me correctly and I'm still on treatment to this day.

Being dumped by Dr Ash was not such a bad thing. I now travel to a GP out of area.

have seen 3 doctors - all brilliant - injections - brilliant - policies atrocious. Monday Telephone appointment - tests required - 2 scripts sent dependent on test outcome Tuesday too sick Wednesday went for tests told 24 hours for results - Thursday after 4 calls finally told results were negative - copy sent to me - when I read it 1 TEST was negative - other pending !!!!- so sick but hospital wait was 12 hours+ and i wasn't sure if i was contagious - Friday rang again - told MY doc would not be in till Sunday so couldn't be given results till then - AND it would cost me $50 for phone call to get results. Rang Gov Health complaints - told I had to speak to practice manager - rang back 2.30ish - manager gone home - told i could speak to another doctor but he didn't bulk bill so I would have to pay for phone call to get my test results which would tell me which tablets (already in my possession) to take. Told them I would just take both! after getting off phone, swearing, crying, desperate i managed to book an appointment with a local doctor (we had moved recently and were 30mins by car away now) saw him within an hour - he looked up results n told me to take the antibiotics - so medical staff great - policy and admin - make up your own mind,

Great clinic with genuinely friendly and helpful front of office teams. The Dr's are great and spend as much time as needed to cover all concerns. Highly recommend the Dr's at Rocklea Market clinic.

Ask for a quote then they bill you a larger amount..
A phone consultation just so you can remind someone of there scripts, I feel like this appointment could of benefited someone else actually needing an appointment/real help, An Email would of been perfect, but no, I need $50 to talk to you on the phone for 4 minutes and tell you that your scripts is low.

Money hungry, fake quotes.
And shove your followed reply where the sun doesn't shine, you're not fooling anyone trying to look like this was dealt with in a respectable manor and a slight confusion, how dare you!
