The centre has good doctors and nurses who specialise in a variety of concerns and needs. However, what is lacking is the professionalism of the receptionists, whether in person or over the phone. In particular, the receptionist Will is incredibly rude and does not actively listen; rather, he simply anticipates a rebuttal to your question. I suggest that he be encouraged to understand general soft skills and basic respect, so other patients don’t experience the same poor service.

She took the time to truly listen to my concerns, and I felt valued throughout the consultation. I don’t know if there is another way to make a complaint but I anyways must talk here in this channel about the rudeness of the lady in the counter. I did not get her name unfortunately. But it is the one attending at 1:50pm on 14/11/24

Experience with doctor was OK. Then I requested this lady in the counter - as the doctor has asked me to do - to “please” to scan previous exams and results so doctor can follow up on my situation on different issues from previous information.

I don’t understand what her frustration was, but that doesn’t give her the right to show annoyance and impoliteness, throwing things on the table, making noise with the documents I just gave her to scan, and laughing when I was suggesting to scan them, she mentioned she was on her own, but that is not an excuse to make patients feel bad when asking these tupe of favors.

If that is something she feels she does not want to do, or it does not fall within her taks, she must communicate it in a polite way and we can find together a solutions, but not to demostraste frustrations to a task that I guess she is supposed to do when working on the front desk of a medical place. Mainly because the doctor asked me to ask the people in the front desk.

I felt frustrated and I ended up asking her to give the documents back to me and told her I would do it myself and then send it to the email of this clinic.

However and honestly, I feel I would not want to come back, but I already started a process with the doctor. I am just trying to find a health/clinic were people show understanding and empathy. Unfortunately, this is not what I found today at this clinic(from this lady). This is unacceptable behaviour from a person that is supposed to welcome clients/patients with different types of problems into a clinic where people to be empathy and are supposed to HELP.

I need to update this review.

The clinic has contacted me and this shows they care for their patients. this is very important, and I believe the person that attended me may have been under some sort of stress when we had this unfortunate issue. Not an excuse, but every now and then I understand every human being is susceptible to slip a bit of stress onto other people. Therefore, I believe previous rate in google reviews(yes, this has become a powerful tool) does not reflect the overall experience, including the later follow up. reason why I just changed the review rating. 15/Nov/24

I’ve started seeing Dr Gopal this year since I moved to Ermington. She is extremely thorough, consistent in follow up, and has worked with me and a few specialists to resolve a number of health issues that resulted in hospitalisation. She has referred me to wonderful specialists who have been equally thorough and helpful in answering my questions.

I have also been extremely grateful for how she has not ignored recurring but relatively minor symptoms which may be related to other issues, and has persisted in various tests to try to identify the root cause.
