The service I received from the staff & the pharmacist this morning was amazing.
I had not been able to get a doctors appointment for today & whilst the pharmacist was busy with filling prescriptions for waiting customers he offered me a time to come back for a consultation. He was able to prescribe the necessary medication for my condition after following the protocols required to ensure he completed the process professionally & compassionately. Thank you

Shocked at how they treated someone in physical distress.

Went in with a raging UTI, clearly in distress and pain. Pharmacies can now prescribe and provide antibiotics for UTIs without a prescription to help women get help fast. The whole point is to help women get help fast.

I asked for this. Pharmacist said he had too many scripts to fill out and the questions he had to take me through would take too long (15 mins max). So I should come back in 5 hours. He treated me like a problem he wanted to go away.

Shame not even a pharmacist understands the discomfort of a UTI - perhaps because he’s a man and doesn’t take the time to empathise.

Luckily the doctor next door had an appointment within 30 mins meaning I had to pay for what is now meant to be just as fast and free.

I understand those scripts were in before me but when someone’s clearly in distress and pain surely that’s a priority.

Most disgraceful customer service experience I have ever had anywhere, let alone a chemist. This happened in July 2016 - I am only writing this review so long after the fact, as I didn’t have a gmail account back then and am on holidays up this way again, Hence I was reminded about my experience with this chemist. I was taking a month long holiday on the water at beautiful North Arm Cove (my first proper holiday in 10 years) to recharge myself after having a family and business breakdown along with some health problems. I was due for a refill on my pain medication on the Friday, but had forgotten to get my script filled as I was busy enjoying my well deserved break and realised I was out of meds on the Sunday - This chemist was the only one close that was open 7 days. They refused to fill my script without being able to contact my doctor, which the rude lady phoned, but didn’t get through as it was a Sunday and he was not working, therefore rudely sent me off without my much needed medications. It put a downer on what was supposed to be a stress free break - I was both sick and in too much pain to sleep until the next day when I could get it filled at tea gardens pharmacy. Total discrimination in my opinion, I had a legitimate script, there was no reason for them to question it, let alone flatly refuse to fill it. I’m clean cut, past my mid 30s with a very good job - back then a business owner and was made to feel like some kind of criminal. My biggest regret was not bothering to take it further back then. I highly recommend anyone in the area go to tea gardens pharmacy instead - They have worderful kind staff and I have never experienced anything like the above at tea gardens pharmacy, let alone any other over all my years going to chemists for meds, for my health problems. I know numerous people in the area, as I use to live and work out that way. I have informed all of them to avoid this pharmacy due to my experience above. I also recommend anyone reading this review whom is holidaying and/or visiting beautiful North Arm Cove, Tea Gardens or Hawks Nest to avoid this pharmacy and head over to the one at Tea Garden instead.
