After experiencing complications from internal scarring following knee replacement surgery over two years ago, I was fortunate to be referred to Dr. Donald Cawthorne at MTP Health. Once it became clear that further surgery was needed, I spent several months preparing by working with MTP’s Senior Exercise Physiologist, Nathan McGrath, to strengthen my knee and optimise the outcome of the upcoming procedure.
From the outset, I was impressed by Nathan’s depth of knowledge, clinical skill, and his ability to communicate clearly and listen attentively. His caring and supportive approach made our sessions something I genuinely looked forward to each week. After three months of working together, I felt significantly more confident and ready to proceed with surgery.
Following a successful procedure by Dr. Cawthorne in February, I have continued my rehabilitation at MTP Health, working with Physiotherapist Zac Anania, and once again with Nathan. Their consistent professionalism, expertise, and genuine care have been instrumental in my recovery. I deeply appreciate the dedication and encouragement they have shown throughout this journey.
Thanks to the MTP Health team, I’ve made meaningful progress toward my recovery goals, and I will always be grateful for the support and guidance they have provided. I would highly recommend the MTP team to anyone looking for exceptional orthopaedic and rehabilitation outcomes.

The best physio on Sydney's North Shore! MTP Health's physiotherapy clinic is in the heart of St. Leonards, just a short walk up from Crows Nest shops. Luke and his physio team have helped me on numerous occasions with my sports related injuries and niggles. Thanks guys 🙂

Not sure where to start with how much I recommend the folk here at MTP. After a lifetime of competitive sport my body had taken its toll.
First arrived there with an unresolved knee issue that several other medical people had struggled to help me with.
MTP put me on their knee programme and it fixed my knee.
When I unfortunately had to have 2nd shoulder reconstruction I immediately chose MTP to help go through the long rehabilitation.
All the staff are so motivating and inspiring and help you make those baby steps back to recovery. Celebrating your gains with you.

I continue to visit even after recovery to have the amazing team at MTP help me rebuild my body for a healthy next stage of life so I can keep as active as long as possible.
