The motel was great! The showers and rooms were amazing! The room were a bit small but it doesn’t really matter as they were comfortable enough for me!

Room 16. Clean, modern, aircon, hot clean shower, cold fridge, floating floorboards (not grimy carpet per normal motels), undercover parking right outside your door. Pool looked clean as I walked past, and extensive undercover bbq facilities. We are here on 2 bikes and the gravel out the front of the room is probably 60mm so makes turning the motorbikes around a challenge… but hey undercover parking for our bikes…awesome. 50m walk to The Savoy…seriously absolutely superb food. Will definitely stay here again for the motel itself and the Savoy next door. FYI - it is just on the edge of town…so if the Savoy was not of interest you would need to jump in a car for a 3 min ride. But no need to…5 out of 5.

We had a quick overnight stay on our way up to Lake Catani. Room was comfortable enough, but unfortunately the TV was too old to handle the digital channels for both 7 & 9 (other channels ABC, 10, SBS etc worked fine). Was looking forward to watching the Aust Open tennis semi final after a long-ish drive but was disappointed I couldn't watch it... Spoke to reception as was told the signal is "patchy in the valley" but after a quick google search it was very apparent that the TEAC TV in the room was too old to handle the digital signal ("Invalid Format" on display, sound but no picture). I know it's a fairly cheap room, but would have expected the TV to at least work... We were in studio cabin 2 - not sure if the setup is the same in the standard rooms.

It was a rainy day, everything was wet, we came by bicycle There is a rail trail there. We were there 1.5 hours before check-in. We were removed from the premises very rudely, as I said it was raining, there were shelters but we weren't allowed to use them. Two very unfriendly women on 06.01.25, really antisocial. Why do people like that work in the hotel? I was angry and wanted to cancel, but it wasn't free. I wanted to stay somewhere else.

Though we arrived late after a long drive, everything was well organised. The room was nicely appointed and clean, with a very comfortable bed!
The BBQ facilities were a great bonus, well maintained with utensils and everything we needed.
I highly recommend this motel.

DO NOT STAY if you want hot shower. I booked 2nights family connecting suite for 5 of us, but we ran out of hot water after just two of us had showers. When I contacted the staff, we requested to change rooms or shower elsewhere, but we were told that all rooms were fully booked.

The only solution offered was to reboot the hot water system, and we were told we would have to wait 1.5 hours for it to reheat. I explained that we couldn't wait that long, as my boys were exhausted after a long day of hiking. The staff member told us she had done her best and wouldn't be able to call a plumber. We could only hope the hot water would work later. I had to keep my 8-year-old and 5-year-old entertained during this wait so they wouldn't fall asleep, covered in dirt from the day.

After 1.5 hours, the water was still only warm—not hot. By then, it was around 10 PM, and I couldn't wait any longer. I quickly showered my boys, but the water turned cold again before I could take my shower, forcing me to wash in cold water.

I asked for compensation for my bad experience, but none was offered. I then requested to check out the next day, and finally they agreed to refund me for the 2nd night.

Due to this bad experience, I had to cancel my plans for the next day to go home, as I didn’t want to risk another night w/o hot water.

A wonderful place! I stayed here a few weeks ago - the third time I have been. A really welcoming place that's well-appointed, spotlessly clean and in a great location, just a few minutes walk into the heart of town to sample the excellent bakeries etc! It's also right on the rail trail. Highly recommended.
