After over 20 years of chronic pain, I was referred to Matthew and it was the best decision I have ever made to accept this offer.

From the very first appointment-I felt comfortable with Matthew’s professionalism and bedside manner. He took the time to understand my concerns and answered all the questions my husband and I had.

The treatment plan was clear and I was confident in what was happening in each stage.

Today marks 12 months since my surgery, and I can’t thank Matthew and his amazing supportive team for everything that they have done to give me back my life- Pain Free.

I have absolutely no hesitations at recommending Metro pain group all the staff. There are absolutely fantastic and will do anything to try and help you with your bookings and even trying to get an earlier than expected. If need be. As for Dr matthew Keys he has been an absolute lifesaver for myself. I have known him personally now for, six years and his professionalism is completely outstanding. I have never felt or been in safer hands with any of my procedures and I have had multiple procedures from Dr. Keys once again cannot recommend him high enough. After sustaining a number of injury’s during a domestic Violence incident I had all but given up in my search to find a Specialist to help me, Those words, you’ll never live a pain free life nor have full feeling back in your arm/hand are words that almost broke me, that was until I was referred to Dr Matthew Keys Metro Pain Queensland. My Journey quickly started to getting my life back. Dr Keys suggested an Abbot Spinal Stimulator, to my absolute amazement the device worked with 100% success, I have 0 pain, I now take NO pain medication, Last week I got an all clear, I can now go back to my chosen career in the mining industry, I will be forever greatful for the ability to live a normal happy pain free life again.. I was extremely fortunate to be referred to Dr Keys at Metro Pain 2 years ago, after suffering a spinal cord injury after back surgery 6 years ago. I was subsequently diagnosed with Arachnoiditis.
I had been treated by a number of specialists previously, but some treatments seemed to make my condition worse.
My pain levels were 8/10 or more every day. I couldn’t sit, stand or walk for more than a few minutes without excruciating pain & I had little quality of life.
Prior to my surgery I had been fit, healthy & working as a nurse. I was losing hope.
From my initial consultation with Dr Keys, I felt heard and understood & moreover treated as an individual. He assured me he would do what he could to help me find relief from my unrelenting pain.
With Dr Keys’ specialist knowledge & skilled procedural techniques & I have always felt safe under his care.
I underwent a spinal cord stimulator trial earlier this year that was extremely successful & I subsequently had a permanent stimulator implanted 3 months ago.
I have been closely monitored by Dr Keys and Alana Corbett the Device Scientist from Abbott.
I have had 100% pain relief, am regaining my strength and already walking several kms a day.
I have my life back!
Dr Matthew Keys has a wonderful team working their magic behind the scenes, including Dr Annie Chou & Sam the theatre list coordinator extraordinaire!
I have no hesitation in recommending Metro Pain.

I have had long term back pain due to working as a nurse, osteoarthritis and general degeneration. My GP and I explored many avenues of therapy with minimal success. About 3 years ago I started seeing Dr Matthew Keys. Early in 2020 I trialled the spinal cord stimulator with over 80% reduction in my back pain. Needless to say I had the stimulator implanted and am really happy with it.
Dr Keys still treats me for other pain issues and I’m so thankful for his care. I have always found him to be empathetic as well as highly professional. He really listens to my concerns and is keen to find solutions that fit in with my lifestyle.
Metro Pain also has a good team of support professionals to help with patient care and I’m truely thankful to them as well.

Couldn’t be happier!! After suffering for over 20 years, Dr Keys and his team put in a stimulation implant to help reduce my pain levels. Happy to say, 95% of my pain is gone. One month after surgery, still sore from procedure but feeling better than I have in decades. The whole team is friendly and polite. Highly recommend Metro Pain to anyone who is suffering chronic pain!!
