What a kind, professional and thorough GP Dr Javed is! Newcastle is lucky she moved here. Our family has been lucky to have wonderful GPs from this clinic since our three boys were babies (so over 14 years), although it was sad when our two previous main doctors retired. But I took our boys in for general check ups today and to get updated asthma actions plans and was so happy to meet Dr Javed. Even the boys said afterwards how nice she was. I’d definitely recommend Dr Javed.

Dr Minhaj has been my family GP for the past 3 years now. I honestly don’t know where we would be if it wasn’t for his compassion, knowledge and constant assistance with both my medically complex airway children. He is an amazing GP that has now become part of the family. Highly recommend him 🙂

I had a bad experience here and want it to be known as the other reviews do not reflect this.
I had an appointment with Dr Minhaj Shahid to get my contraceptive implant (rod) removed. He was quite rude and did not make me feel confident about the success of the procedure. He directed me to lay down on a dirty pillow (with visible black hairs), and I had to remind him of basic hygiene protocols, like using clean paper towel to cover the bedding. He also did not wash his hands or use gloves. After I had been injected with anesthetic, he told me it would take 5 minutes to start working and he would be back. He left the room and I was laying there for some time (longer than 5 minutes) before I heard him go into the reception area and accept another patient. He then proceeded to have an appointment with this patient in the next room, while I was still laying there waiting to be operated on. Extremely unprofessional and I have never been disregarded like this at the doctors.
I ended up walking out and leaving without getting the procedure because I was so uncomfortable with the whole experience.

Dr Minhaj Shahid is Amazing. He is the new owner and the best GP I have ever encountered. He really listens. The 2 follow up appointments were at no charge. I am happy to find a GP who cares.
