Absolutely disgusting of QLD mental health to allow people in complete psychosis to be discharged. You have no regard for the safety of patients or the public. It seems as though if someone isn't deemed aggressive enough then they are okay to be discharged. Shame on you!

If you're struggling NEVER use this service, they are hopeless and absolutely do not care about you, your mental wellbeing or safety.

Why do we have to pay so much Medicare levy surcharge to fund services like this that traumatised already vulnerable patients or denied them access to care when it was absolutely vital?!

Even if you're on severe crisis that ticks the boxes for admission criteria, they will just tell you to see your gp in the community.

And the ACT team will give you false promises of we care we are going to help, and then they do nothing!
This is why we loose so many people within this catchment area, because they focus on housing creak heads or criminals that can't deal with jail or are pulling the mental health card to get off their charges.

Those people chose that life. I didn't choose to have my mental illnesses or trauma.

I have tried to report what mental health ipswich hospital are doing to patients and I'm sorry to say that I have failed - I complained to the health ombudsman and they covered up what was really going on and the qld ombudsman believed them. I have to live with my failure to protect others in the mental health unit and I just want to chose death because I'm so sorry that I failed to protect your loved ones. Please know that I tried so hard to prove that your loved ones were being put at risk of getting covid but I failed you miserably. If you have a loved one in mental health please save them from getting covid, I didn't get covid but I had to starve to protect myself. Oh my god - if my mum or dad was in that ward please look after them please make sure that no covid patients are around them in the dining room as you need to protect them. Covid is in the mental health ward and nobody cares if your mum or dad gets covid like they say the staff are a bunch of thugs. Please Please protect your loved ones as the government just cover up what is really going on in that ward. I am so upset that I failed to protect your loved ones - I tried but you know govt's have their ways of covering up what is really going on. It's disappointing and I want to die for my failure to protect your loved ones but that's my problem. I love and care for the ones you love and care for so please take the time to protect your loved ones from getting covid in the mental health unit. I have to live with failure to protect them but I tried and got punished for dobbing on them. I see my failure as life ending I was giving a task to save others and I failed so if I feel like my life is not worth living WHO HAS THE RIGHT TO SAY I SHOULD LIVE - I AM IN CHARGE OF MY LIFE NOT THE MENTAL HEALTH UNIT SO YOU THEY CAN GO SCREW THEMSELVES I AM THE BOSS OF MY LIFE NOT THEM. I HAVE THE RIGHT TO CHOSE WHAT HAPPENS IN MY LIFE AND I'M FOREVER SORRY THAT MY SON HAS TO SUFFER IF I DIE BUT I'M 73 I'M GOING TO DIE SOONER OR LATER AND I HAD TO COME TO TERMS WITH MY MUM DYING WHEN SHE WAS 68 UNFORTUNATELY IT IS A PART OF LIFE THAT YOU'RE MUCH LOVED PARENTS DIE EVENTUALLY. I LOVE MY DEVOTED SON AND I WISH I COULD LIVE A LOT LONGER WITH HIM BUT THE MENTAL HEALTH UNIT AND MY FAILURE TO LOOK AFTER YOUR LOVED ONES HAS DECIDED OTHERWISE.

I experienced psychosis last year and was placed in this facility for one month. It’s taken me over a year to recover from the experience. I told two nurses about my childhood trauma and they laughed in my face. I called them out in front of a group of nurses that were leaving for a meeting, saying ‘how can you do this, i told you my deepest and most painful secret and you laughed at me?’ They said ‘because we can’ and this was in front of the group. No one batted an eye, they are all cruel.
