Staff are extremely helpful, receptionist Jeannette is very kind, understanding and compassionate. Dr Kenneth Shum & Dr Clayton Thomas provided thorough and detailed assessments of my condition and symptoms and gave me hope in terms of treatments and plans for my health management. Dr Thomas was the first pain specialist that validated my experience and didn’t dismiss my feelings and pain.

I recently had the pleasure of consulting with Dr. Jason Chou at the Melbourne Pain Group in Glen Waverley. I was incredibly impressed with his compassionate and professional approach. Dr. Chou took the time to listen to my concerns and made me feel heard and understood. I have had many doctors in the past tell me that my pain was all in my head, that it was psychological and that I needed help for that.. But, Dr. Chou did not steer that way nor did he consider that a factor.
I'm grateful for the care and attention I received from the entire team at Melbourne Pain Group. Their friendly and welcoming demeanor made me feel comfortable and at ease. I would highly recommend their services to anyone in need of pain management.

Managed to get an early appointment with Dr Slon for my 22yo daughter who has been experiencing constant and often severe abdominal nerve pain for months - no wonder we got in early, he was absolutely terrible. No compassion whatsoever, no explanation of treatment options, scolded us for not having private health insurance. Refused to offer any medical solutions, just tripled the dose of the drugs she was already taking. Told her there's probably no cure and she'll most likely be taking drugs for the rest of her life - this to a 22yo! By this time my daughter was in tears, with absolutely no acknowledgement of her obvious distress by Dr Slon. This appointment was actually a setback for her mental health, not to mention her very real pain. We will never go back.

I'm feeling so much better now that im seeing a different pain specialist and he was in disbelieve about the quality of care I was receiving from doctor slon its been several months now since I've been seeing the new pain specialist I can honestly say this is the best I've felt in a long time, they have changed my life and nothing is too much for them. They help me in ever possible way. They have a wonderful treatment plan for me I've never felt so understood and appreciated and gives me great hopes that there are other specialist that actually wanna help their patients After seeing Dr slon I was very hesitant and very scared of being judged and be little by other specialist but PLEASE PEOPLE WHO ARE IN PAIN DONTNBEAT YOURSELF UP LIKE I DID because there are other great specialist out there. Anyone who would like to know the clinic and name feel free to contact me. But please stay away from Melbourne pain group they only about the dollar.1 star is too much.. if only I could put negative stars..

A disappointing experience, I was hoping to find a pain specialist who could see past medication stigma to have an understanding what has been working and what else I can do to improve my well-being I got only the opposite of this . I felt this Dr answered questions for me that I didn't relate too and wasn't true to my experience. If you are looking for a one way treatment for pain management this could be beneficial it just wasn't for me.

Very happy with Melbourne pain group. I have been taking my husband there for almost 10 years and find them very helpful, they have given him more options in pain relief than any other specialists have been to. They are also up with the latest treatments and procedures for pain.
We have never had appointments cancalled, changed or messed up by them, always recieve a text a week or so before reminding us and asking is to confirm.

I made an appointment to be seen in mid August. I had waited two months to be able to get an appointment, but had expected as such to see a specialist. Received a confirmation text on the Friday before my appointment and responded with confirmation. Two days before my appointment, I received a call to say my appointment has been cancelled and needs to be rescheduled. The receptionist had me on hold for at least 5 minutes and, being at work myself, I ended up having to hang up. When calling back to reschedule, reception were extremely unhelpful and unaccommodating and was told I'd have to wait another 3 months to be seen. Not on considering the cancellation of my appointment was on their end and not mine. I recommend asking your referring doctor to refer you elsewhere, which is what I have now done.

I saw Clayton Thomas after suffering for 10 years with debilitating pain. He was dismissive and unhelpful. He diagnosed me with having fibromyalgia, even after I pointed out my symptoms weren't in line with that condition. He refused to do any tests to investigate the issue further.
Two years down the track I finally found a specialist willing to do his job thoroughly, and after multiple tests I was diagnosed with thoracic outlet syndrome, and TMD, with dysfunction and severe osteoarthritis in both joints.
