I had a very disappointing and upsetting experience with Dr. Shirani. From my very first visit, she was extremely rude and unprofessional. She told me bluntly that they have too many patients and don’t need any new ones — and even suggested I go to another medical centre.
My visit was related to a WorkCover claim, and her attitude became noticeably worse after learning that. She seemed angry and irritated, making me feel as if I was a burden rather than a patient in pain seeking help. When I explained that I was in pain and no other doctor was available, she coldly responded that she would charge me for her time — and on my next visit, she charged me double for just five extra minutes.
It felt like she didn’t want to be doing her job, especially when it involved any paperwork. She even said her admin staff has to do a lot and that she doesn't want to deal with those cases. The administrative staff themselves seemed uninformed and unhelpful when I tried to ask questions.
I do not recommend this clinic to anyone, especially if you are a new patient or require anything beyond a standard consultation. The lack of compassion, professionalism, and support is deeply concerning.

Dr Peiris has been our family Dr for over two decades. It’s disappointing to see some of the reviews written against him. Dr Peiris has integrity and is not in the job just to write out medical certificates or insurance refunds. Dr Peiris is extremely professional and experienced across a diverse number of illnesses and treatments and will always medically assist those that are in need. I’ve lost count of all the times Dr Peiris has helped us out of hours, as well as many other of his patients. He is always friendly and extremely accommodating. We are very grateful for everything you do Dr Peiris. Thanks you 🙂

I cannot thank this clinic enough for quite literally saving my life. I came in thinking I was just dealing with acid reflux, but Dr. Shirani immediately recognised the seriousness of my condition and acted without delay. Thanks to their quick decision to call an ambulance, I received life saving heart surgery .

Special thanks to Dr. Peiris and the young RN who cared for me with such compassion and urgency. Their calm, professional, and kind approach made all the difference during such a critical moment.

I had an extremely unpleasant appointment with Dr Peiris. I have never in my life been treated so horribly by a medical professional. I had booked an appointment as I felt extremely sick in the morning and needed a medical certificate. I had undertook an exam and was adversely affected by the symptoms of my sickness and needed a medical professional's advice and authorisation to amend the disadvantages I faced during my exam. Instead, Dr Peiris insisted that I was "lying" to him in order to "cheat" on my exam. This absolutely disgusted me and I was appalled by his dismissive behaviour. Not only did he not complete his duty of caring for his patients, he falsely accused me of "cheating", making me leave the clinic feeling extremely upset. Do not go to this medical centre.

Googles very flawed rating system sees this medical clinic having more than one star because unfortunately the more people that even give a one star rating, builds their ratings to more stars than they actually deserve! I must share my experience after attending this clinic for several years and making the decision to call it quits due to many factors. I don’t believe they should be operating and it is appalling they still are. The unprofessionalism for one. Appointments never adhered to. Calls of importance not returned or messages from patients passed onto the relevant treating doctors. The staff here are extremely incompetent as are the doctors. One such experience of incompetence was having regular medications prescribed by my doctor 4 years prior, and taken as per her instruction, stopped for no apparent reason she could give me, apart from me apparently being “flagged” by government. When I questioned her on why that would possibly be considering I’d never misused a medication that she’d prescribed me, I was met with her calling me an “addict”, screaming at me at the top of her lungs down the phone stating she would no longer provide me with these medications but without offering any alternative either. 4 years mind you not 4 months (I am also recognised as disabled and have been on disability for over 10 years now). To say I was taken aback shocked and appalled would be the understatement of the century as, I’d never heard of anything like this in my entire life from someone who is in the medical field and in such a position of trust. I was very depressed after this incident and eventually stopped attending this clinic altogether instead trying for several months to find a better alternative to such a disgusting practice! It should not be operating under any circumstances. I will not even go into the rest of what I have experienced as it would fill up 5 pages easily and was advised I am within my rights to sue these dogs for gross negligence and incompetence. Mind you I have several medical problems and a long history of illness and have been involved in two car accidents so it’s not as if the medication she’d prescribed was anything that I should not have been having and also a very low dosage of these particular medications also. In fact I’ve been advised I should be on 5 times the medication she’d prescribed me! Yes there are strict laws and regulations regarding certain medications and I as many are well aware of such. It is not like we enjoy being dependant on any kind of medication to say that would be blasphemous especially in my position but calling you an “addict?!” for medication that barely helps you manage your day to day illness and pain is just blatantly disgusting! I’d received no real treatment from her in the number of years I was seeing her either or resolve to any medical issues. Please, do yourself a favour and stop funding these highly over paid irresponsible people. They aren’t competent enough to be providing any kind of health care and quite frankly must be reviewed and eliminated from any sort of medical practises.

The worst medical centre ever. Trying to earn money even the people are suffering. They had to send my husband’s medical records to our insurance provider for a claim. But Dr Palitha peris said the insurance company have to pay $150 for that. But they didn’t send the invoice to the correct email address . They even refused to issue our own medical records to us. Because they need money. We went their 4 times to take our own medical records. One time we had to pay $50 to see Dr Palitha, just tell him about the email that sent by my insurance company. Also, They ignored every email sent by the insurance company. Don’t know how to communicate with people. We had to gave up $500 hospital claim because of their greediness .They don’t deserve even 1 star rating.
