A sales person from this organization from Wellington, New Zealand, rang me up the other day, so persistently requesting me to make regular donations from now on even though I told them many times that I cannot make regular donations because of my financial instability. I told them to finish what they wanted to tell me very soon because I was working at that time, but they just kept talking about the dire situations of here and there and how well their charity organization had been doing and other things bra bra bra almost endlessly and inconsiderately, totally ignoring my request to stop talking. So I said to them, "if you keep being so pushy like this, I will completely stop making a donation to you!". Then, finally they got my message and hung up the phone. So I have decided not to make any donations to this organization at least for one year or so. It is pity that they do this kind of extremely pushy persistent inconsiderate phone marketing. They should know that they would not have to do anything to raise money as long as they are doing the right things in the sight of everybody and money comes naturally by the word of mouths without making a number of unsolicited calls.

Approached by a field partner at Northwest Mall to tell me about the workings of this organisation, but he failed to explain that the end game was to sign one up to donate. He craftily required more contact information upon each question and lastly pressurised me for my banking details to finalise the donation process. When I refused to provide my banking details, saying that I would never give a stranger with a pop up table in the middle of a mall, my banking details, he become visibly irritated, clicked a button the ipad screen and said that my details had been deleted off the system. This felt like a bunch of scam artists, are MSF Doctors without Borders and their agents raising funds or acquiring peoples data. MSF reconsider your fundraising strategies. As a result of this unpleasant experience I doubt I will future fund this organisation.

Medicines Sans Frontiers has taken $600 of my money. Fraudulently used my details, the bank declined my dispute so now I am out of pocket of $600 as a low income earner, living week by week.. Bravo, great charity work scammers!

Had terrible experience signing up for donation. They manipulate your desire to be a good person to get personal and bank details from you. Their questionnaire designed the way to get several positive answers from you and then slowly get your personal data while it's difficult to refuse because it's hard to say that you do not want to help people.
It is also difficult to unsubscribe from the donations.
I expect that it would require a year of my donations to cover a day of a person who signed me up so efficiency of the organization is also questionable.

Great organisation, but can you stop employing the 'charity muggers' on the streets of Sydney?

Being stopped regularly by some working-holiday visa backpacker trying to guilt me into donating to you (which I already do) is a terrible way of fundraising. Employing this tactic is a great way to make me cancel my donations and never think of you again.
