I noticed there a many one star reviews on here for Mayo Clinic Jacksonville. I do not understand why because that has not been my experience whatsoever, in fact it is superior care in comparison to my local hospitals. My sister had a liver transplant and the ICU team was amazing, they were on top of every issue from the moment my baby sis entered here. The nurses specifically, Brittney, Rea, and Christie are on a different level. They are master nurse technicians in the highest regard. They provided excellent care not only to the patient but also the family. We were treated with dignity, respect and felt compassion from the staff here. They even helped decorate the room to make it feel more like home. Thanks Mayo team!

My 19 year old daughter was transferred here with a lesion on her brain Christmas morning of 2021. They removed the tumor which was brain cancer. She received radiation treatment here as well. The care was mostly exceptional. I would say this, always have someone advocating for you. It doesn’t matter what health facility you are at and what kind of name recognition they have. Mistakes can be made anywhere. With Mayo we have had an overall positive experience and love her Neuro-oncologist.

Professionalism displayed and the best of health care delivered. From a family member receiving health care, I am amazed at this level of care being delivered. I’m from a small town in middle of the country and I am truly blessed to have my daughter receiving care from this community. Traveling I would advise you to seek out the accommodations that give discounts and some provide transportation to the facility. The food here is very good. A lot of walking, but the climate is very good. While waiting we had a little music. If you do have any procedures, family and friends would like a sweater.

I live more than an hour away but was recently sent to Mayo for a second opinion. I met with several doctors and had multiple tests done over 2 visits. The doctors and technicians were all very thorough and attentive. I talked with and met more than a twenty people in multiple areas of the facility and every single person was pleasant and helpful. Even the administrative staff super professional and attentive. While waiting in the Davis Building, 3 East, I saw a receptionist approach 2 women. He noticed they'd been waiting for a while and asked for their names so he could verify they were checked in and he could find out how much longer they might wait. Just plain good people at Mayo.

beat medical knowledge in NE Florida area. Bad insurance policies and wait times are long. Atmosphere very nice. Staff very very nice. Parking easy but necessary to drive between many building because campus is huge.

You won't get a prognosis.
You won't a see a doctor only nurses (but you will pay doctor's pricing).
You won't get any follow up care.
The level of care was no better than a local doctor. I paid to redo tests I had already done because they insisted on doing all the tests, and of course, we go no answers from them.
A hugely expensive out of pocket experience (the travel + all the tests that insurance won't cover)

I just moved my whole family to South Florida, because of the Mayo Clinic. They have the best specialist. I have a number of rare conditions and even my previous doctors told me they couldn’t help me and I needed neurologist that dealt with those conditions and the only place I found them was this Clinic. It a long wait to see a doctor, but the wait it’s worth it, once your in the doctors take their time and know absolutely everything about your condition even if it takes over 1hr. The order test right away and it’s super organized because all the departments actually talk to each other and get things done. I have been a heath care professional for over 20yrs and I have never seen anything like this place before. If you want the best doctors and best care the Mayo it is.

I had great experience and recovery with my Achilles, at Dr. Glen G. Shi department of Orthopedic surgery . They made me feel very comfortable and took care of anything I needed after surgery and were very precise . I would recommend them 10/10 for skill/quality !
