I was at my most vulnerable when I was transferred from Ipswich Hospital to Springfield Mater Hospital as a public patient, yet the doctor, nursing staff, and physiotherapist treated me with the utmost respect and professionalism. A heartfelt thank you to all the staff members who cared for me.

The experience I had at Mater Springfield this last week was wonderful. All the staff where only too happy to meet my requests. If they could not fix it they would get the right team member.
The room service was excellent and easy to order meals. Just had to remember to not miss anything.
The Physiotherapy team was very patient and explained each treatment as they progressed. The outcome made me happy as it resolved a long term issue and they explained the preventative action I could take if it recurred.
The Ward Nursing teams where very friendly and professional in their care. You where not treated as a number to get in and out. You became a short term friend. The communication board in your room updated you on who was looking after you each day with their name.
The Doctor made you feel relaxed and was very open about the treatment plan. Thank you for a successful outcome.
Over all I was very happy and would recommend Mater Springfield for its care and professional team.

This is one of the worst overnight stays I think I've ever had in a hospital. I had to share a room with someone, when promised I would be put in my own room, after an intense and painful tonsillectomy. The nurses were unhelpful and extremely passive in their tasks with no sense of authority. They unknowingly allowed a man I had never met before to stay after the 8 pm visiting hours. They were constantly sceptical when I asked for pain medications and treated me like I was incompetent and inferior to them. I explained I understood the implications of taking opioids, however my pain was extremely high. Very unprofessional.

My daughter had her surgery (tonsills removed) here even though it went under public. I was very happy with her stay, very helpful nurse's and the food was excellent and in saying 40mins or so it arrived within 10-15mins its like room service order whatever between 6.30am till 7pm. One of the nurses even told me I could stay and she got me a roll out bed which I thought was awesome. They had 2 t.v's in the room and one had internet and your own fridge in the wardrobe.Visiting hours are all hours but they did say eventually that might change later down the track. Above all it was clean and tidy thats a tick in my books and my daughter's surgery went well. Im very happy with the service from the hospital. A++. Update the hospital has public parking now. I looks like they are building on to the existing hospital hopefully a public one that will be better then Ipswich.

Excellent service - facility is clean, staff are friendly, efficient and professional. Had a tonsillectomy carried out and was impressed with the care and expertise available.

Food options and entertainment through individual touchscreens also a plus. Due to the smaller size of the hospital, areas didn’t feel over run or cramped - instead staff were able to take the time to provide quality care with overall atmosphere being calm and pleasant throughout.

Witnessed a young Muslim girl getting harassed by a middle aged lady in the parking drop off/pick up calling her a “terrorist” etc. for no apparent reason. Receptionist was informed and simply ignored the complaint and did absolutely nothing to help the young Muslim girl out. Shows that your reception staff are equally as bigoted and racist if they do nothing to stop this behaviour. Shameful as your hospital probably wouldn’t even run if it wasn’t for all the coloured people working as health professionals in it.
