I can’t thank the nurses and doctors enough at Mater Private. I arrived in severe pain and distress, after a 7-hour wait at a different hospital for emergency surgery.

From the moment I arrived , I received immediate pain relief and clear information about the next steps and a timeline for the procedure.

The overnight stay was very comfortable, and I’m incredibly grateful for the outstanding care and results. Thank you so much.

Very disappointed with my mother in law's recent stay. There were several good nurses incl the nurse manager but trying to get any info was like getting blood out of a stone. No doctor visit for 1 whole week. Missed meds ended up in another fall, discharge chart showed no known allergies but she was admitted with red arm tag listing her allergies. One nurse was too busy planning n hissed n sighed when we needed some info which my 92yr old MIL could not tell us directly. To the few good ones (mostly new to the Mater) thank you, you were beyond good, but to the others, you need a big shake up. Compared to my husband's numerous recent stays in private hospitals elsewhere, the Mackay Mater was sadly lacking

Exceptional experience at the hospital. I would like to thank the incredible staff, who while working tirelessly, deliver such authentic, caring support. Nothing is ever too much. Both my parents have been admitted on a number of occasions and the staff are consistently amazing.

Twice Iv been a patient at the hospital in the last 6 months. I have no complaints at all. Both my Doctors and the staff have been amazing. So supportive and caring. The hospitality is amazing. I can only wish everyone the best in this crazy climate right now. You guys are doing a great job. 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆

Thank you for help yesterday in Emergency. The nurses were so caring and reassuring. I saw Doctor within 10 minutes and she was so thorough and helpful. I had scans done within 20 minutes results back in about half hour all up there just over hour amazing. Even though you are paying for treatment it is worth every cent.

Had my gallbladder removed and when I woke up in recovery was greeted by the most beautiful nurse. I thought I was just lucky to be assigned a lovely nurse, but it turns out everyone here is so lovely and caring! I couldn’t fault this hospital. They have taken such good care of me and the staff are amazing.
From someone who struggles with hospitals and nervous about not having my 4 month old with me, they went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and ok.

The nursing staff were amazing during my hospital stay. I felt very unwell after my surgery and every single nurse was compassionate and very professional. The hospital should be very proud of their nursing staff.

good staff employed by the hospital, the specialist seem to know his stuff and conversed in a polite manner. Better than the anaesthetic group employed by the mater hospital. None of us will go back due to their rudeness and when they were questioned up cam the stone wall and oh how holy am I. This group cannot be trusted, very poor communication skills an no respect for customers. I was taught treat as treated.
