This is one of the nicest hospitals that I have visited, particularly the surgical services department.
The surgical outpatient department is very efficient and runs on time when I attended.
The entire surgical team was very pleasant and friendly. The operating experience was also great. The surgeons, anaesthetists, and nursing staff were all friendly and supportive of the surgical experience.
I believe the staff also work in Hervey Bay Hospital.

I went into the hospital after still having some bad pain after a fall. To start this trip the triage nurse was disrespectful and rude to me and my partner. She was condescending that why my partner had not brought me in earlier. Then we had to wait nearly 2 hours I understand because it’s a hospital but seriously. Then when I finally got called to the back the doctor was so stupid she use her iPhone to check the area that had been hurt. She proceeded to ask where it hurts 10 times. I told her over and over again where it hurts and after each time she just said you hit your muscle you will be fine. I got some Panadol and got sent home five days later after extreme pain. I had to go to the GP and I got told that my muscle was torn and I had extreme nerve damage that the doctor was incorrect with how she diagnosed me. I now still have a long-term lasting affect because of that incompetent doctor. Do not go there unless you want to come out worse than you went in.

Went into Maryborough last Saturday morning. Got treated for burns on my body. The nurse Jillian was absolutely lovely! Took care of me the whole time and made sure I wasn't in to much pain. Went back two days later and got treated by her again to change the dressings, with little waiting time. Very good hospital and thankyou to Jillian and the other nurse helpers! Definitely 5 stars! Legends!

I presented to the hospital with stomach pain and couldn't breathe. Was sent home with heartburn treatment and no physical examination. Was told I have heartburn. Next day symptoms started again and they had done a ultrasound on my stomach due to same symptoms and was told I had a gall stone that was stuck in my gallbladder and was infected. I was also vomiting bile and given a medication that would stop vomiting, that treats heartburn. Misdiagnosis and mistreatment. Had no examination prior to being administrated medication radiologist at the hospital couldn't understand how I was walking around and why I hadn't had treatment sooner, I told her I was sent home as having heartburn. She was in awe Was immediately rushed off to Hervey bay hospital right after that.

To the lady whom I just spoke to in the xray department, you are one of the most salty rude persons I have ever had the pleasure of talking to on the phone, which is a shame for maryborough hospital as the staff there are so nice and accommodating when I have had my young daughter in the emergency section. Maybe have a day off and readjust your attitude

I have had some negative encounters in the emergency department over the years, but the last time I was taken there by ambulance and received life-saving treatment. The particular doctor who dealt with me was extremely kind. He did everything to make me feel calm and confident while I had a very short acting anaesthetic, and an electric cardioversion. He even let my son stay with me to observe. That was so important to me, and I think he knew it. The nurses were extremely helpful and busy, and a wardsman was also excellent when he had to help move me. So for that visit I couldn't fault them, and I am so grateful for all the staff present that day.
