Just had a great experience at Martins Rd Clinic. I walked in at 9am to ask if they were taking new patients & if they had any appointments. I explained that I thought I had a UTI & the receptionist immediately handed me a new patient form & said she’d squeeze me in with a female doctor on the spot. I was expecting to have to wait until the next day at the very least. I only had to wait about half an hour before I was called in. The doctor was kind & thorough. Gave me antibiotics to take while I wait for the urine sample tests to come back & has also requested a full blood panel simply because it’s been a few years since I’ve had one. The appointment, although slotted in, never felt rushed.
The clinic itself was clean, quiet & welcoming. Staff were all lovely. Will go back in the morning for my blood test (done on site) & already have a follow up appointment booked for next week with the same doctor..
Overall, I can’t fault them & I’ll continue to see Dr. Roopa for future appointments.
Thank you for seeing me so quickly. It was the last thing I expected to happen today.

Again the reception have made a mistake.
I'm waiting for a telephone appointment call 1120, I ring to ask why she hasn't called at 1215 and I was told it was a face to face, 3rd time this has happened and the same staff member each time.

My Dr is always late with appointment times and often starts late and this in lies the problem.
3 of the staff on reception are great, polite, friendly and get the job done, all 3 of these have gone out of their way to help me in the 10 years I have been seeing this Dr.

The podiatrist Susan is the best podiatrist I have ever seen and will do a 5 star for her, she is always on time and extremely professional.

Being late is the worst trait for someone to have, this tells the person they do not have any care or regard for you or your time.

Seen GP with nosal fracture. Got referred to ENT. Followed up with reception the next day regarding my referral to make sure it was sent. 8 days later called again to find out that my referral didn't get sent due to faxing issues and it may take another few weeks as it was sent via regular post (2025, faxing and mailing are trending again).
I ended up bringing referral to the hospital myself as I was ment to be seeing by a specialist withing a week of injury. Careless clinic.
Update - I undergone an urgent surgery and my referral still hasn't made it to clinic.

I called and made a new patient appointment at 2.10pm and after seeing the doctor and nurse I was home and healed by 2.50pm.
Lovely reception staff and friendly and professional Doctor and nursing staff.

I visited Dr. Muhammad Shafiq Mughal on January 24th, 2025, for a full body checkup, which I later learned is called a "blood count" in Australia. As a newcomer, I wasn't familiar with the exact term. When I tried to explain that I wanted a general health check with blood tests, the doctor got very frustrated and angry.

He dismissed my request and questioned why I was there if I wasn't sick. He also brought up insurance coverage, which wasn't my main concern. The appointment was only five minutes long, and the doctor was rude and dismissive the entire time, making me feel like my health concerns weren't important.

I was particularly disappointed because Dr. Mughal is also of Asian descent. I expected he would understand the idea of a general health check, common in many Asian cultures. Instead of helping me find the right tests or suggesting other resources, he was unhelpful and impatient.

Doctors should be patient and understanding, especially since not all patients are medical experts. They should help clarify requests and offer guidance, rather than being dismissive and angry. My friend also had a negative experience with Dr. Mughal, making me believe this isn't an isolated incident. His behavior has made me hesitant to seek medical help in the future, which is very concerning.

My partner came 10 minutes early for a 2:30pm appointment. She waited 1 hour and left at 3:30pm after not being seen and was told there was still 1 person in front of her waiting!

Very unprofessional practice and has been getting worse and worse.

We will never be coming back here again. Reception staff were very rude and gave attitude when she asked how long it would be after 40 mins and 1 hour

very unprofessional of some Drs. and appointment management for not making sure all the bookings are held. I had a booking 8 weeks prior for my next appointment and showing up to the day of the appointment turns out, my Dr wasn’t aware I have a booking schedule for the day and even the booking management should have check schedules prior to the day because it’s a waste of time trying to organise my work hours prior to my appointment and a waste of my money too. I wish they can do better with operating the bookings itself because I won’t let it happen next time.

Dr. Matheesh and Dr. Vijaya are genuinely kind and caring doctors. Receptionists and nurses are polite. I'm okay with the wait time given the proper care I receive. Quality care takes quality time.
