The practice has been my regular doctor for 8 years. I usually see Dr. Maria, and lately- Dr. McMahon. I've been shown nothing but compassion, support, and good investigation should I have a medical concern. I find the admin staff quick, have good rapport and communication. I absolutely trust Dr. Maria and Dr. McMahon!

Absolutely horrible! I’m a first time mother and I needed a mental health care plan. I had booked for one this morning and she said “oh I don’t do those on Mondays”,
why am I here then ?
Then she continued to tell me she can’t contact psychologist or psychiatrist for me and that I will have to do it myself. I’m gobsmacked.

This surgery has to be the worst I have been to. I was sitting in the surgery and the phone was continuously ringing and the receptionist said the doctors told them not to answer the phone. Ha! That’s why you can’t get through at the clinic. I wanted to book my daughter in because she was sick (1 year old) had a 3 week wait. the lady on the phone said take her to e.r . What a joke. When we finally go to see the doctor we can’t even understand them anyway. What has happened to the good old family doctor? I remember when I was a kid my mum would just take us straight into the doctor that morning. Yeah sure a little wait, but that never hurt anyone did it!

I have nothing but positive things to say about the Maria clinic. The practitioners are thorough and friendly as well as the support staff. We see all Drs but mostly Dr Joe. He is a fabulous doctor and really listens to his patients concerns. I recommended my Grandmother see him as she wasn’t being treated well at another GP office and she thanked me. He is brilliant.

I have lived in Alstonville for past 2 years and as I'm really never sick, hadn't had the need to be anyone's patient here. Tried for 2 months in and around my local LGA to get a vacation shot, was continuously told their patients come first. So no-one wanted to know about me because I wasn't their patient. In frustration I rang the Maria Clinic in my old home town, explained my situation, they booked me into the next appointment for Pfizer. The staff are friendly and very professional and considering you have to wait 15minutes after your shot to make sure you have no adverse effect I was never there any longer than 20 minutes.
My partner was having the same issue here as well and the clinic booked him in too.
So I thank you all....

The low rating, is due to a bad experience, with one of the supposed Doctors at this clinic.
After a lengthy consultation, explaining my situation, he told me he was not EXPERIENCED enough, to manage my multiple conditions & I would need to see another Doctor.
This Doctor would not even provide me with a prescription, I had been on for decades, despite all my medical records being in front of him.
I told the Receptionist, about how disgusted I was with the big waste of everyone's time, & even she could not believe what happened!
The 2 stars is due to being given the Pfizer vaccination, quickly & efficiently, without much wait time.
Having a separate building, especially for COVID vaccinations, is a good idea, & huge time saver, so well done, in that endeavour!

Very friendly, helpful & informative staff. Easy to book with HotDoc & completed documents prior to appointment to make my visit for COVID vaccine very efficient & easy.
