Marc has been a big part of my counselling degree, as a teacher and a supervisor. I always think of his perspective on things, not just throughout the course, but now as I’m stepping into counselling roles. I loved his teaching style straight away, his storytelling, his realness, the way he connected with the class as a human. There was never any power imbalance, just mutual respect. He appreciated my curious nature and has a great sense of humour too.

As a supervisor, Marc has reminded me to get out of the stories in my head and look at what’s actually true and real, which is so refreshing. That’s a real skill, because some counsellors can feed into the distortions, which just drags things out. I really value Marc’s focus, his direct, straight-up way of seeing things, and how he keeps everything present, grounded, and no-nonsense.
