I love this place, when I’ve needed them they’re always there. Dr. Tran, removed my implanon rod a few weeks ago and he was very patient with me I came in at the last minute and he still took it out which I really appreciate as I’ve been wanting to try for a baby. I moved to Sydney two years ago and I always appreciate the help and care I got from him. Dr Lloyd and Rebecca are amazing I think I would have gone insane with out them two helping manage my mental health and other health issues, I feel comfortable and feel a lot lighter when I leave Malabar after seeing Dr Lloyd and Dr Rebecca. I think they all know how much I struggled in the past coming from a country town to the big city. These are the only doctors I’ll see. I can go into Redfern to see the aboriginal medical centre but I’d rather malabar medical, they’re transparent and respectful people. They’ve helped me a lot. And I don’t mind. Paying the 20$ fee if I’ve missed 4 appointments, it’s only fair. Especially because I haven’t called to cancel.

I thought Dr Joe was good as I was recommended to see him . I have severe mental health issues so memory not good . It is 2 week wait for appointments . When I rung a couple of weeks ago secretary told me I owe 20 dollars As I missed 4 sessions first time I’ve heard of it .
A week ago I saw Dr Daniel Tran who is the most abusive rudest gp I ever met. For 10 mins he lectured me on missing 4 appointments and I haven’t paid 20 dollars ?I was there for severe abdominal pain which I had to remind him . Upon leaving the secretary screamed out I owed 20 dollars , I told her I could not afford. I looked at phone later a missed call from medical centre it was rude Dr Daniel Tran wanting my 20 dollars. I paid it this week . ….. When I went into Dr Joe Thomas appointment this morning the first thing he said was what’s happening with missing 4 sessions ? I told him how about paying for a reminder message , he replied with he can’t afford yet owns Malabar Medicare centre and centre at Bexley and also a member of the prosperity church Hillsong. Where he probably learnt to guilt preach and harrass and shame people over 20 dollars ,
If you are maschoist and want to be abused even with mental health issues go here, I had to remind Dr Joe I was there for medical reasons not a shaming interrogating lecture where he is being paid . In the end I did not trust him with his abusive actions and left in a lot of pain .
I will be contacting health care complaints re this treatment. Luckily I had a support worker waiting as I was feeling very unstable.

Wonderful, caring and respectful service. I have been a patient here for over 18 years. Dr Jo Thomas, Dr Hue Tran, Dr Rebecca Davison and nurse Leanne are amazing people.
They save my mother’s life once with the attentive care. My mom lost a lot of blood internally and we didn’t know about. Upon seeing the blood results and low red blood cells count, they called my mom and rush her into emergency in time.
Can’t express my appreciation enough towards Dr Hue Tran, Dr Jo Thomas, Dr Rebecca Davison, nurse Leanne and all the staffs at Malabar Medical Center.
I am thankful and feel very blessed to be under their care.

I'm in remission from cancer attended practice many years then last visit Dr Tran female Dr said I can't see you any more you give me anxiety I was in shock I said do you suffer from anxiety she swung around in her swivel chair and stared me out and said no I don't suffer from anxiety, I lodged complaint and was contacted and apologies were given a lot of past doctors I used to see have left, seriously think twice before attending this practice I have reported them they are are risk to public health and safety.I reported to AMA and called a current affair these medical practitioners need to have their licences revoked. My brother attended this practice complained numerous visits for months pains abdomen dismissed found out correct diagnosis by emergency hospital prince of wales was diagnosed stage 4 non Hodgkin's lymphoma, my mother attended same church as malabar doctor and he passed her out, cold calculated people, seriously be careful.
If anyone tonight saw 60 minutes about the treatment by Dr teo then this practice needs to be on 60 minutes.

Generally good. One doctor though sent me back out of the session to change my babies nappy, despite my explaining that it had just been changed moments earlier, this doctor has only ever seen disposable nappies before, so my reusable one he insisted was “that’s a full nappy.’’ Sent me out and insisted I come back with a disposable nappy. Later passively aggressively referenced DOCS several times. The one and only time I have been discriminated against at that surgery with the doctor knowing my medical history, which is a good run for most medical centres weighing the ratios.

We were visiting the area living 6 hours away from Sydney and my husband fell ill. The woman at Reception offered no empathy towards our situation saying they are 'appointment only' and 'the doctors wouldn't like it'. Awful experience, no compassion or extenuating circumstances, just no we are not helping you and we don't care attitude. Luckily we went to Prince Of Wales Hospital and he was admitted immediately. Opens up the doors to all the what ifs. Moral to the story book a week in advance just in case you get sick heaven forbid you fall sick on the day and want to seek medical treatment.

Never thought I would have to write a bad review for this place, been going here all my life. Daniel Tran (refuse to call u a doctor). From the get go he was rushing everything and even contradicted himself.

Will never see him again.

I’ve been taking myself and my kids to this practice for over 10years. The staff are fantastic. Dr Jo Tomas and Dr Daniel Tran are incredibly smart and compassionate.
