We went for a gash from a dog bite on a Friday morning. The doctor did not clean the wound adequately before sealing it, and now we’ve been in the emergency room with an antibiotic drip for 32 hours. This should be a base level of care that was not met, and we won’t be using this medical centre again.

The regular girls on reception Anna Maria, Jenny and Rhonda always greet patients with a smile and are very kind, professional, and empathetic, and despite how difficult triaging patients can be, they always try their best to fit myself or my children in. Sometimes emergency patients throw out the day, but I don't mind waiting as the Lugarno doctors are wonderful, very experienced and patient and kind.

From the friendly girls on the front desk, to the doctor's and nurses who have looked after my family so well for over 10 years, the staff at Lugarno have all made some difficult times and diagnosis over the years easier by the way they treat every patient and has made life going forward less stressful for my family.

I can’t recommend this practice enough. The Doctors I have seen are so thorough. I highly commend Nicolette in reception on her calm and helpful demeanour whilst dealing with a difficult and disgruntled mother. The practice was filling up, the phone was ringing off the hook, the mother was becoming increasingly aggressive. Yet she never raised her voice, or spoke back harshly, only tried to help the best she was able. A better woman than I for sure.

Anna Marie has always been so helpful. My baby just kept getting sick and Anna Marie always squeezed me in to see my regimar gp where possible. Her customer service is 10/10! Same goes for Dr. Linda Lee, she's great!!

Dr Fanous was impatient and unconcerned with my daughter’s queries regarding her health. To top it off, there was 0 sensitivity or care taken when she requested a Mental Health Plan(MHP); response given “you don’t look like you need one.” This is unacceptable and unprofessional! Doctors have a duty of care, and when someone is reaching out for help; taking their wellbeing into their own hands, Doctors have the responsibility of supporting them and being understanding of where they are coming from. No questions were followed up with her request for her MHP, nothing regarding her safety; whether she was at risk of harm etc. She was just simply dismissed! This is unacceptable.

Reception staff were also not helpful, they were rude to put it bluntly. For a private practice, this is unacceptable. The health care system needs to stop cutting corners and realise that they’re dealing with REAL people, with REAL issues. Maybe they’re having a bad day at work, or are simply sick of the profession. But, there is no excuse! Health comes first, and patients shouldn’t feel like a burden when they are paying for a service. DISGUSTING AND DISGRACEFUL.

Felt completely at ease with Rhonda, the on-site nurse each time we have been for our baby daughter’s injections. She has taken the time to ensure we understand the processes involved and is so genuinely gentle, caring and kind making tough but necessary visits much more tolerable!
