Kala and Madeline I cannot thank you enough for the treatment I received in A&E in Triage, the ladies went above and beyond to make me comfortable, they are both an absolute credit to this hospital, thank you for the Eclaire and Tea as hadn’t eaten all day and felt very faint! You girls keep smashing it, just being yourselves you are making such a difference.

The nurses on A5 North, have been amazing, friendly, supportive and helpful and make you feel at ease, keep doing what your doing ladies, you are making such a difference.

Whilst staying with family last week I became increasingly unwell with an extremely bad cough and breathlessness. I arrived at A&E Saturday lunchtime and was triaged by a lovely nurse who sent me to the out of hours service. I was met by a lovely receptionist who took some basic information and advised me to sit in the waiting area. Shortly after I was called into another room where my stats/ops were checked and again advised to return to the waiting area. After waiting about 45 minutes I was called into another room by a clinician/registrar. She was very professional with a warm and friendly bedside manner. She took some more information from me and gave me a thorough examination. Diagnosing me with a chest infection and prescribing the medication needed. I returned to the waiting area where a short time later a lovely nurse arrived with my medication and went through the instructions for taking it. I know hospitals and especially A&E department's receive some terrible reviews but my experience was absolutely amazing and I was treated with due care and attention by every member of the team/staff that I encountered. I would never have thought that being unwell and in A&E would be such a lovely experience, seems bizarre but I have to speak as I find. The hospital was run extremely well, very clean and tidy with wonderful members of staff who were professional, polite, pleasant, helpful and friendly. Thank you to all the staff at Lister hospital for looking after me and delivering such an amazing service and all your hard work.

I can't fault the professionalism, care and service the medical staff provide its second to none. The booking system for appointments seems not to be working efficiently: I attended one appointment when one wasn't required and accused of failing to attend an appointment that had notification of. I spent 2.5 hours waiting to get a prescription exacerbated by the screens, that displayed whose prescriptions were ready, braking down. In the end I had to leave getting my antibiotics in order to catch the bus to work.

Recently rolled my ankle bad enough to believe it was broken. I went to A&E that night but there was a 6 hour wait. As I wasn't urgent I went to the UTC the following morning. I was lost and asked a lovely nurse called Joanne or Juliette I believe. She took the time to walk me to the UTC. Reception was friendly and the paramedic was awesome too and very friendly. Making me feel as ease. X-ray showed all was good. I was in and out in 1½hrs. UTC should be proud of the standards they are setting

This was the 3rd hospital experience in a week of my grandson being very poorly and in ICU. The first two hospitals were absolutely amazing and I will be forever grateful for them for saving my grandsons life and the help and support given to my daughter and myself. Unfortunately I can not say the same for the Bluebell Ward in Stevenage. I can only say this was boarder line neglect. My daughter & grandson got here at 11pm and were discharged at 7.30pm the following evening. Neither of them were provided with any food or drinks in over 24hrs, the nurse didn’t know the medication and made multiple mistakes that could have caused severe consequences had we not have been aware of what medication was meant to be taken. He was also discharged with someone else’s medicine leaving him without his own medicine. Absolutely shocked at the lack of attention here.

Terrible experience for my 1 yr old. Basically tended to my son all night while all they did was give us a roof. Didn't listen to us as the parents who know about his condition and what they needed to help with. Discharged us without any info and then charged us for it (dual citizen but not resident). The nurses however were very kind. Would go to different hospital (UCLH) of ever needed to again.
