The people receiving the phones at the center are in a totally different world. I booked a face to face appointment for my wife with Dr. Chau Tran but since, the at home covid test for her was inconclusive i called an hour and a half before the appointment to change it to a phone appointment.
The person who received my call said the doctor will call us and charged me immediately over the phone. We didnt receive any calls over 1 hour after the appointment time. I called again to check what happened and the person said it is policy to charge immediately but the doctor will only call when they have time. I confirmed that i had an appointed time with the doctor and even paid in advance but she kept explaining to me as if i am in the wrong.
I had to cancel the appointment; too sad we had to leave Dr Tran who we have been going to for over 15 years just because the admin staff dont have the communication skills required for the position.

The practice is good, my only criticism is the booking times.

Granted it is understandable that waiting times are always in flux due to each individual patients needs.

However the waits will almost always be an extra 20 - 40+ mins on top of your current booking.

So don't expect the time you book, to ever be the time you see the doctor.

As long as you have that in mind and plan accordingly then its a good practice to go to as the staff and doctors i have met are all attentive and caring to the patients needs.

Excellent care and attention to detail are shown.

Gave a lot of patient explanations, and fast response from the counter service.

Helped us by giving lots of instructions and the next steps.

Appreciate it!

Dr Chau Tran is a great doctor ⭐️. He’s very knowledgeable, efficient and a very patient doctor who takes time to listen to your concerns. He’s funny too! Dr Hien is a very kind doctor - with great accupuncture skills 👍
The receptionists are very nice and always respectful, especially to the elderly patients. A very well run centre.

Receptionist is rude, unprofessional and unhelpful. Where do you find these people and under what criteria do you decide to hire them as receptionists?

Called to query an appointment with a doctor we were referred to see. The receptionist that answered today at 4:45pm lacked phone skill and professionalism. She mumbled when she answered the call, I could barely hear if I was calling the right place. I asked about the doctor there and her response was "yeah".

So I proceed to ask about this doctor, she continues to respond with unhelpful yes and no answers, meanwhile very unfriendly tone and not willing to provide more information.

If a potential patient is asking multiple questions, a good receptionist should notice this after the first few questions and either 1. Take initiative to provide more information or 2. Ask if the patient would like to make an appointment or give the times that particular doctor is working.

I had to interrogate the receptionist while she seemed unwilling to be in the phone call.

It's just really poor attitude and skill that you should work on with your receptionist as they are the first point of contact for many potential patients...

No parking here and a whole drama attached!

I have a chiropractor appointment and I drove everywhere and could not find parking , so the garage nextdoor has visitor parking and I drove in , parked at the Lidcombe medical center spot.

When I return to get my car, It seems like I confused that with the visitor parking sign right before the gate. Because someone was petty enough to park me and 2 other cars in, and no phone number whatsoever left, and this is right at the entrance of the car park which blocked ALL TRAFFIC. I waited 30minutes and went up to the clinic to ask and hoping to apologize to see if I took someone's spot by accident, the rudest nurse from all these negative comments came up to me with her crossed arms and her eyes judging "why did you park there? It's the doctors spot you shouldn't park there". I explained exactly what happened and she says she's see if the doctor wants to move the car.

Doctor Chau , the petty person, came and continued lecturing me and I explained. He didn't want to listen and turned around walking away and made me beg him to move the car!? I felt gross inside out for a small mistake like this.

I don't understand, there are so many things you can do to stop people from confusing the visitor parking vs your doctor's parking. Like lifting the trailing that was installed on the ground ? Or removing words of visitor parking ?State on your listing or clinic entrance to inform people that no parking availability for customer ? Leaving a piece of print out asking people not to park there ?
Instead I get these two morally twisted people working in a field that is supposed to help people. Good luck if you think you'd get help without begging in this place.

The haters offering one star have no idea! They're complaining that the receptionist is rude and not helpful. The receptionists probably can't understand what you're asking because your English and grammar is awful!!

I can appreciate that there can be wait times due to the current circumstances of people becoming ill during these challenging times with flu and covid but when you make an appointment and there is a 1 hour delay to see your doctor, the scheduling of appointments can be managed more effectively. Or atleast tell the patient when they check in that there can be a delay with your appointment.

The only reason why I gave this place 3 stars is that the doctor I saw Dr Brian is an excellent doctor. So the people who have given this place 5 stars saying that the doctors are great, you are absolutely right.

Work on managing the appointments and keeping patient wait times to a minimum (especially when they have made an appointment) or atleast advise patients if the wait times are going to blow out to waiting over an hour then this place would actually be a fantastic 5 star medical centre to come to.
