I recently saw Dr. Sunny Misir at this practice for my PTSD. My experience was deeply disappointing. I felt a clear sense of impatience and prideful frustration from Dr. Misir when I struggled to articulate my answers. He even threw things on the desk during our consultation. His comment, "I'm not your original GP, why did you come to see me?", felt particularly unprofessional and hurtful in my vulnerable state.

It was also distressing to hear him make disparaging remarks about us while on the phone with the mental health team, like complaining about the consultation running over time. This made me feel like an inconvenience rather than a patient needing help.

We were charged for extra time, a significant portion of which was spent waiting for him on the phone. He even intentionally spent three more minutes on writing phone numbers so he could officially say we were overtime for 3 minutes to become a 33 min appointment that can be charged as 40 min (almost 100 dollars more).
the lack of compassionate care and the unprofessional conduct made this a very poor experience, especially at a private practice.
Please avoid seeing Dr. Misir.

I have been a patient of Dr Sunny for more than a decade now and trust his honest and forthright manner. I had struggled since moving to the north side to find a doctor I could rely on and was so relieved to find one who could provide good old fashioned service that is so lacking today. I have been a patient of Dr Sunny Misir for over 12 years and have always found him to be kind, compassionate and extremely thorough. He called me once from Prague to give me the results of blood tests and has always gone to the nth degree to get to the bottom of my health issues often putting in time outside of the appointment. He is a very special human being and one of the most caring people I know. He has always followed up after specialist appointments and procedures to see that I'm okay, he's one of the best always going over and beyond.

LFMP is an amazing medical centre where my wife and I are always warmly welcomed and feel cared for as if we’re part of a close-knit family. From friendly and professional admin staff to our dedicated GP Dr Sabrina who listens and responds with great empathy, we could not have asked for a better team of professionals.
This practice is most proactive in offering many complimentary services such as pathology, counselling, vaccinations, bone density screening and more. I highly recommend this practice to families that are looking for a holistic approach to medicine and good old fashioned service.

Dr. Sunny Misir has been my GP and has taken care of my health since 2009.

He has been most professional, kind and compassionate. Not only does he have extraordinary insights as a doctor, but also a solid understanding of “common sense” with a great sense of humour.

There are so many points which I am writing in more detail…

When I was younger and had better health. I consulted with Dr. Sunny only a few times a year — for general check ups, etc. He always made sure everything was OK, and prescribed only essential medications for me. He further encouraged exercise and healthy lifestyles.

Now as I grow older and require more health care, I consult with him more often. As part of pro-active prevention and intervention, he has referred me to a great cardiologist and a gastroenterologist, who both are of exceptional high calibre. I have been extremely satisfied with these two specialists Dr. Sunny recommended.

Dr. Sunny is my partner’s GP also. I remember in 2020 during the height of the pandemic, my partner was hospitalised for many months and at one stage, was critically ill. I am the only carer, since all of our relatives are all living overseas. I saw Dr. Sunny during a regular health check. When he asked how my partner was, I broke down in tears due to the pressure I was holding.

Dr. Sunny then asked, “Who takes care of the carer?” and comforted me by saying he would visit my partner at the hospital, and he did so. Dr. Sunny said as part of a doctor-to-patient commitment, he would do this for every one of his patients in need. He told me he had, in fact, just visited one of his patients as far as Liverpool Hospital.

Dr. Sunny carefully watches over my pathology results. He always contacts me and informs me of the results. He also reminds me of vaccinations schedules.

One time he phoned me on a Sunday night when he received a CT scan of my partner which needed urgent attention. He even made the phone call himself to my partner’s cardiologist to explain the need for an immediate consultation.

One incident in 2024 when my partner collapsed at home, I phoned for paramedic and ambulance assistance. My partner was taken to ER at RNSH. I did not inform Dr. Sunny of the event, but somehow he became aware and phoned me the next day and came to see my partner at home after he was discharged.

Dr. Sunny encouraged my partner to have crucial abdominal surgery. We first hesitated, but he recommended a great surgeon and the surgery went so successfully — that has dramatically improved a great deal of quality of my partner’s life. Again, Dr. Sunny came to visit my partner at RNSH during his recovery from the operation.

For a person of my age, I am in great health. I am grateful to Dr. Sunny for this and have the highest respect for him.

It has been a great pleasure knowing Dr. Sunny over these many years. I have been fortunate that he continues to take such great care of me, and may I say it is a privilege being one of Dr Sunny’s patients.

I would also like to thank every staff member at LCFMP -- Grace, Sarah, nurse Carlyn, who are all very professional, friendly, courteous and accommodating.
