A nice big store with an easy layout that makes it simple to find what you’re looking for. Plenty of room to move around the aisles freely.
Lovely lady on the door greeting people as they enter and exit.

I shop so much at Kmart. This store has very unco-operative Service Counter staff. I was intouch with them by phone updating them. They would have to have known I seriously wanted the items they were holding for me. Due to husband having a medical emergency we were delayed by a day, passing through Batemans Bay. I rang the day before to let them know (still being held) then 2 hrs before landing in the Bay but they had put them back into stock and they were sold. What is annoying is they will NOT take payment over the phone to lock it in. Then they say do click n collect which I would have loved to have done but the system doesn’t recognise low stock so it was impossible. I was in a no win situation. I got no help solving it from the staff. They need to stop the nonsense, stop contradicting themselves and take payment or hold the items when they are in contact with the customer. They say its not policy, well I’m sorry there can be discretion in life it is Kmart not the NSW Criminal Code. Wake up and assist customers. KMART needs to start taking payment over the phone or improve Cl n Coll system to cover all stock. I had a problem recently, due to hospitalisation, the Mildura store were wonderful, they went above and beyond to help and solved the problem. You can if you want to. Not happy Batemans Bay.

As I was entering the front entrance of this store I had to pass by a father exiting carrying a plastic pee potty which contained urine .. this is an example of the state of this store ! Disgusting ! Untidy , kids left to run the store and it looks like their messy bedrooms ! Same as every Kmart store in Aus !

I have always loved shopping at this particular Kmart, however, this worker by the name Aidan I think he said, truly made my shopping experience that much better.

I was trying to find a specific toy for my niece, however I was unable to find it due to the state of the toy section. Frustrated, I went up to the counter and asked the lovely young man for assistance.

Without hesitation and a bright smile the young man assisted me and got down on his knees and filed through the toys singlehandedly until he found the one I was after.

He escorted me back to the counter where I found his service to be quick and efficient, all doing so with a huge smile on his face.

I was in store 2 days ago lining up at self check out. An elderly couple in front of me with items in a trolley approached the 4 manned checkout side of which there was no attendants( all signed as unattended). The lone supervising attendant was very busy attending to all 5 automated checkouts & their customers. The elderly lady asked if she could be served & was told she'd have to the machine. She stated, "I don't know how to"!. The elderly man behind her ( her companion became noticeably agitated & said, "come on, lets just put it all back & go".) The elderly lady then pushed the trolley over to a machine & waited. I was thinking of stepping in to help but a woman customer who was standing at the machine next to the elderly lady, and with a baby in a pram, noticed their distress & took it upon herself to assist them. This kind young woman helped this elderly couple scan all their trolley items & assisted them with their payment. All the while the Kmart employee was still busy.
I felt this was a sad reflection on Kmarts customer service. The elderly are made to feel useless & neglected in society in general & I was saddened to see this reflected in a major company's current grab for profit.

Very clean and tidy place they have amazing deals.

The staff are very helpful to seniors around the area which I love to see. They even offer to scan and pack your items for you.

Saturday and 15 people waiting to check out. 1 staff member to assist all fully occupied self check outs and refused to serve me at the normal checkout. I suggested calling another staff member, which, in the end, he did begrudgingly.
It's not his fault. It's managements.

Empower and train your staff, please managers. Monitor customer service and customer numbers throughout operations, please managers!

Always loved shopping at kmart but this morning i needed a trolley. The money went in but i could not retrieve one tryed a few half a dozen times. Eventually asked the girl at the door for help and she didn't know just offered me a pull trolley which was very difficult for an person like me in my 70 's try and put a microwave on a pull trolley. Maybe these staff need extra training
