My mother died of a stage 4 bed sore in her back . No only could you see her spine it also had infection and gangrene. They waited until ages to have her sent to the Gold coast Hospital where the doctors there stated to me that it was the worst form of abuse that they had ever seen. The hospital then sent her back to Opal care at Kirra beach . Her poor treatment continued to happen at Opal care Kirra beach. She was starved literally to death became completely anorexic and neglected. When they found her laying in bed and dying they refuse to call an ambulance for my mother even though I rang them and so did my sister tell them to call an ambulance. They kept refusing and saying that they couldn't get an ambulance till later in the afternoon. Eventually she was taken back to the Gold coast Hospital where she passed away. There are many people that are unhappy with this nursing home in fact it's quite obvious as I have noticed recently that they have deleted all their negative reviews . This is truly a disgusting and horrendous nursing home be very very careful about choosing this place for your parents .

The staff at this Aged care facility are highly skilled, friendly and treat residents with the upmost respect. Beautiful Gold Coast location and the facilities are very relaxing and comfortable. Highly recommend this facility.

If you want your parents to be abused send them to this nursing home !!! Both my parents were abused here until they both died ! The nursing staff can't speak clear English so you can't understand them ...A truely horrendous place with many complaints been made !

Had to edit my negative review. We mistakenly thought kirra care is the other facility that we called for inquiry because google automatically prompted us to Kirra aged. We already settled things from the other facility today, they already spoke to the kitchen staff who attended to our queries over the phone and was just a misunderstanding. My apologies.
