Doctor never on time
This was a Second appointment as the doctor was running so late that I couldn’t wait for his call any longer.
Doctor was asked to call a specific number and didn’t.,
Doctor doesn’t read any notes before talking with the patient.
This patient is elderly with dementia and this clinic does not take this into consideration.
Hard to get appointments for long term patients.
Try to see a different doctor but they keep book her in with the same doctor no matter how many times I ask for a different doctor.
Reception is very difficult to talk too and cuts you off every time you try to tell her something.
If it wasn’t so hard to find a new doctor on the coast I would definitely would be changing.
I guess you have to take what you can get these days until you find someone who is will accept new patients.
I would definitely not recommend going to this medical centre for anything more than something non serious.
Not helpful at all.

I had to displeasure of seeing Dr Chris Jones at the Kawana Medical Centre for a sinus infection. I only took the appointment in desperation but would highly recommend suffering at home over taking an appointment with him.

He's a disgrace to the medical profession with his attitude that you are a complete inconvenience and atrocious 'bedside manner'. Not questioning his knowledge, just his ability to interact with people. Perhaps a position in a research lab where he's not required to deal with people who are unwell and feeling vulnerable would be better suited!

The Receptionist were super friendly but the doctor was unfriendly and seemed to be moody. His first command was that I am too late, but I was there in time. I just had to fill out the form since I was a new patient. The Receptionist also told him this.
Afterwards I felt uncomfortable talking about STDs and vaginal fungus. He seemed bored, while talking. I guess he was still giving me the right medication and doing the right tests.

The genuine care from the reception staff is the only positive of a visit to this centre. While waiting with my partner who was "upright" on crutches for the 1st time in 2 weeks (post surgery), he became dizzy, sweaty, and nauseas, during our 35-minute wait. Thankfully, the reception staff went out of their way to organise water, a blood pressure test, and a hit of sugar. Midway through staff retrieving a wheelchair for us, Dr Jones emerged and literally rolled his eyes and huffed when informed we were just waiting on the w/chair (which arrived 30 seconds later). Upon entering his room, he wouldnt make eye contact and portrayed suspicion as to why we were there in there in the first place (albeit being on the post-op nurses advice). Never again.

Leaves every other GP practice in its dust.
You can easily make an appointment over the phone with one of the friendly girls at the counter and you get in very promptly. Not like my local Dr’s where you have to wait at least a week for an appointment!

Appointment times mean absolutely nothing here. Always an hour late, and even after sitting here for 45mins, the doctor is more than happy to look you in the eye as he walks into the lunchroom to disappear for 20mins. Stop having 10min appointment blocks if you can’t stick to them

Walked out of my first appointment 5 minutes in. Don’t waste your time. Information provided by doctor was incorrect and contrary to previous advice by multiple medical practitioners. Dr was disinterested and reluctant. Avoid this clinic

Terrible attitude from Dr Chris Jones towards me and my family every time. All other staff are great!
He needs to be replaced by a caring doctor we rely on.
