Absolutely amazing/caring staff!
Our 8 year old son had dental surgery here yesterday. All the staff were very attentive & so friendly. When we arrived, the lovely lady at the front desk immediately made us feel at ease.
When we walked through the ward, every staff member we walked past either smiled or said hello. Every nurse that came into our son’s room, walked in with a smile & also made sure we understood any information we were given.
I felt so relieved walking into recovery after our son’s surgery & seeing the lovely staff standing around him, just laughing with him & chatting away.

Thank you for creating such a lovely, stress-free & caring environment for your patients.

Ps. The food at the cafe downstairs was delicious (I highly recommend the quiche).

The staff were fantastic, however the hospital itself is like walking into a hospital in a developing country. Very shabby unfortunately and not a good look for a private hospital.

We had an absolutely appalling 'welcome' to this hospital today, approximately 0855 hours.

The large bellied, grey curly haired, glasses wearing, male with a cap dramatically directed me when the signage and main entrance was very clear, taking his job seriously to the point of dramatic and aggressive. Not a great first impression.

Being in a long vehicle, I parked in the only long bay, which I discovered once I had committed to the parking bay that it read 'tour bus'. I was only stopping to drop off a client and there were no other spaces available.

Said male ran towards me, yelling that this was a courier only bay. I apologised and advised that I was just dropping someone off and assumed 'tour bus' may include my bus as there were no spaces for a bus anywhere else. He yelled, "It is clear it is for couriers only!!!!" Before he ran off and abused the next driver. There was nothing stating anything about couriers only.

I was there approximately 40 seconds and I have a duty of care to drop people off safely. This man's behaviour should not be tolerated by the Kawana Private Hospital. I was there to drop a person off at the hospital who was already heightened and anxious. This was not a pleasant experience at all.

What a truly horrible non-welcome. Clients should be treated properly and respected, not spoken to and treated like something on the bottom of your shoe. Anger management may be required for this individual.

Had hernia surgery this past week and my entire experience was excellent! The surgical team headed by Dr Ian Baxter make you feel very comfortable and confident in your results. The nursing staff are exceptional and nothing is too much to ask from them. Thank you to all and keep up your excellent work and attitude!

Yesterday I had day surgery at KPH and from the time I arrived until the I departed it was nothing short of brilliant.
Deb at reception, my various nurses, Jasmine, Suzie, Laura, my anaesthetic Dr and my surgeon Dr McGown and all of the others who played a part, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking such great care of me and for simply being so nice.

Yesterday went to the cafe for morning tea and lunch. The cafe has a wonderful ambience and staff are friendly and professional. The food was delicious and we also loved the music. On top of that, my partner bought me a painting I admired. A much appreciated experience before and after a surgical procedure.

I had day surgery at Kawana Private Hospital on Wednesday and was so impressed by the professionalism and efficiency of the procedure. In the past when having day surgery at other hospitals I have turned up early in the morning only to be left waiting most of the day with no updates. AT Kawana Private you are treated like a real person not a number. It was like a scene from a hospital tv show where the doctors and nurses really care. Thank you to Dr. Amy O'Connor for your amazing skills. Thank you to Dr. Kellie Ovenden for making me feel so safe and comfortable. Thank you to all the nurses and other staff for being so caring and sharing a joke or two.
