Visiting my family from interstate, I booked an appointment online to see GP for new onset RUQ abdo pain. I saw that there were plenty available and tried avoid unnecessary presentation to ED. Cynthia called shortly after and advised that they would not give me the available appointment because I’m a ‘new patient’. How can we take pressure off the overwhelmed ED, when some GPs choose to behave like this?!

Unfortunately you can't give a zero rating. Having recently moved to the area and my gp moving to Sydney I tried this practice. The receptionist was polite and helpful. The doctor on the other hand was a disgrace. I was dealing with mental health issues he was cold and stiff. Whilst discussing my issues he told me "I don't have time for this, I have a waiting room full of patients". I had barely been there 5 minutes. I am not sure if it was a lack of empathy for mental health issues or because i am a woman. Shame on you

Been attending this clinic since Dr Kulatunga started to practice here over 8 years ago, I believe. She is an amazing Doctor and the service from her and her staff are the best I have ever experienced in Darwin.

Karama Medical Centre were prompt, cheap, clean, respectful, Medically Professional (why is that last). I had a bug crawl into my ear and die, finding itself enlodged in my Ear, (living in the tropix this happens all the time right). The Doctor whose name had many "V's in it like Vavenesh or something was able to remove it within a matter of minutes. What relief ...

Booked an appointment on line as site say open to 5pm. Attended clinic to find it closed. Called number to be advised close till New Year. Please up date online bookings/appointments. Otherwise great service

Courteous and thorough consultation. I don’t remember filling-in a ‘New Patient Details form, which was a concern (put down to an inexperienced receptionist)

The doctors are great, have been going for 6 years. Improvement with wait times could be made. In saying that, I would rather come here and wait then go somewhere else.
