I have been seeing Dr Arif for 13 years now and can honestly say he is the most caring and thorough doctor I have ever seen. He is such a great doctor I would not go to any other GP in the Illawarra area.

He sometimes runs late but that is just because he takes his time in caring for his patients making sure they get the attention they need, so truthfully I don't mind waiting however long it takes to see him because I know I will get the same attention all his patients receive.

Dr Arif's receptionist, Janet, is always accommodating and will try to fit patients in when they need to be seen. Her friendly demeaner only adds to the overall feel of this wonderful surgery.

I could not recommend Dr Arif & Janet highly enough, they are sensational.

Come here because there is availability to get in to see the doctor and he bulk bills however frequently runs over an hour late. Just arrived 3 minutes late to an appointment and asked how far behind he was running, so I could work out whether to wait outside given the waiting room is small and reception was extremely rude telling me “firstly your late”. Maybe let people explain before jumping down their throats, no need to be rude just don’t want to sit in a small waiting room with other sick people. Also given he is always running late, no matter whether you book one of the first appointments of the day- it’s a legitimate question.

Ended up waiting outside for 40 minutes later. The clinic opens at 8.30 my appointment was 9.40am. How you can run this late an hour into the day?

Went into appointment needing a form filled out and a referral completed. The doctor spent so long trying to communicate with reception about uploading a form onto my file it wasted 15 minutes and then he refused to make the referral and told me to book another appointment because he is running late?

I definitely have to start with reception!!
the ladies are always kind, caring & very welcoming.
Dr Arif is the best around, I’ve always felt comfortable & understood before any actions were taken. The medical practice is very easy for bookings & fast paced. He is also wonderful with my 6 month old. Has taken great care of me before, during and after pregnancy.
Highly recommend this practice!!!!

Dr Arif is by far the best doctor I have ever been to and Janet is the most kindest receptionist. Janet has always tried to fit me in on the day when my kids wake up really unwell and made Dr Arif call me to ease my anxieties when they couldn’t fit me in that day. They really do go above and beyond for their patients. ive tried other doctors have been dismissive but Dr Arif if thorough, kind and to the point which is what my family really appreciate and need. I am a new patient and I can sincerely say Dr Arif is one of the best Drs I've seen.
I have many chronic illnesses and have been misdiagnosed, neglected for many years.
Until I found Dr Arif who is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.
He doesn't waste time and takes action.
The staff are wonderful, friendly especially Jannet one of the best receptionist I've seen.

I attended an appointment for my daughter (24) today with Dr Arif following reading his positive reviews. Unfortunately we had a terrible experience. Dr Arif was rushed and dismissive of my daughter, didn't listen to her answers to his questions, kept probing her for answers she said she could not answer about family histories, formed inaccurate conclusions based on the answers she gave (e.g. when she said there was a history of mental illness on the maternal side of the family he replied with 'so mum had depression' and ticked the 'depression' box in the 'mother's history' section - I had to tell him to remove it as he just moved on), cut her off when she tried to ask a question leading to an inappropriate answer, and failed to properly examine her (e.g. did not check glands etc. as part of rapidly diagnosing her with 'a virus'). It was early in the morning, so it could not be explained by running behind schedule. I'm unsure as to why we've had such an experience given other reviews are so positive. Hopefully he was just having an off day, but my daughter left feeling unheard, upset and dismissed on top of being very ill.
