Sharon and the team are absolutely amazing. Our 9 month old puppy came in with arthritis and hip dysplasia. Through hydrotherapy and the recommended vitamins he became a happy and healthy dog once again. She has also helped with his fussy eating as he was underweight. I couldn't recommend this place enough!

The owner wasn’t just impolite—she was rude.

I had a very disappointing and uncomfortable experience at K9 Swim Hydrotherapy & Wellness Centre, and I feel compelled to share it.

After my Samoyed (a double-coated breed) finished her swim, I spent most of the 15 minutes rinsing her thoroughly to ensure all the chlorine was washed off—something that takes longer with a thick double coat. I used three of my own towels to towel-dry her first, minimizing the use of the blow dryer.

As we were about to leave, the owner, Sharon, came in and stopped me, pointed to a sign on the wall, and said, “Customers are only allowed 1 minute for blow-drying, and you have been here for 15 minutes!” I tried to explain that my dog has a thick coat, but she cut me off, saying, “It’s your thing! We are not a pet groomer!” She then rushed me out, claiming another customer was waiting.

Let me clarify:
1. I followed the rules. Most of the time was spent rinsing and towel-drying my dog. I only used the blow dryer briefly—nowhere close to 15 minutes.
2. Sharon herself delayed me by stopping to confront me. If she had shown even basic courtesy, I would have already been gone.

Her comment about it being “my thing” was dismissive and unprofessional, as though my dog’s coat type was my fault—baffling behavior for someone running a facility that claims to prioritize dogs’ health and welfare.

I wasn’t looking for grooming services—her setup clearly isn’t for that. My only concern was rinsing the chlorine off my dog and drying her enough to avoid leaving her soaking wet for our 1-hour drive home.

What’s more, I can’t shake the feeling that I was treated differently as a non-local, non-Caucasian customer. The hostility and dismissiveness in her tone felt personal and carried an undertone of racial bias.This experience was upsetting and unacceptable. I’m sharing this to ensure others are aware of how they may be treated if they encounter a similar situation.

Bones loves attending K9 swim and catching up with the friendly staff every week. Our vet is very happy with how he’s ACL is repairing and it’s a great workout for him. He’s been on both and treadmill and in the pool but enjoys the pool the most! 🐶

Really take the time to understand your dogs history and needs and accomodate their temperament. Our dog is highly anxious and the way they handled her to make it as stress free as possible was just lovely to see. Our dog built a relationship with the team very quickly and had amazing results to improving her balance and mobility.
