My husband went in for day surgery.I was kept up-to-date on him going into theatre, coming out again and releasing.
Although it was nine pm and he was the last patient to be collected, the nurses greated me with a smile and a welcome 🤗
My husband couldn't praise them enough for how they had looked after him.
I know one was called Becky but can't remember the other smiley chatty girl
But a big thank you to you both and a welcoming smile goes a long way 🤗

During a visit to the ED Dept with my elderly father who was over from the UK , I was deeply impressed by the exceptional care and attention he received, starting with the welcoming desk staff and continuing with both the doctor and the nursing team. He was pleasantly surprised by the high level of care and consideration provided. He was then transferred to a Ward, where once again, the care he received exceeded all expectations. The staff went above and beyond to address all of his medical needs, and he truly felt that his health was given a thorough, comprehensive evaluation. I'm well aware of the negative reviews this hospital receives and would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the staff who made his stay at the hospital a stress-free and reassuring experience. Thank you for your dedication and care.

Don’t add a stop at Joondalup hospital, just go directly to cemetery to make things easy & fast.
Emergency means serious, unexpected & often dangerous situation requiring immediate action according to google but here it means something else.

Their slogan is “We don’t check the patient rather we check their patience”.

More longer wait periods in ED than Australian Road Trains.

I just wanted to say a very big thank you to all the staff in C1B. I was admitted on Wednesday with a Pulmonary Embolism & also another blood clot the length of my leg. After having Limb saving Surgery at SCGH last May this was all a bit scary for me as I was in a lot of pain.
A very special thank-you to Bindu, as she was very compassionate and kept a close eye on me. Thanks again.

After 2 experiences at the Joondalup ED and 1 stay in the pediatric unit, I want to commend the staff at the hospital for going above and beyond to look after our toddler. Both times we were seen to straight away after arriving at the emergency department, and thorough investigations were done to pinpoint what the problem was. All the staff were very attentive, warm and kind to us. Thank you to every staff member who helped us nurse our son back to health and make our stay in the pediatric unit so comfortable (and this is in the public side of the hospital).

I waited for a long time but that's expected in ED, however when I was seen they put me in the plaster room which had blood all over the floor & bedding. It hadn't been cleaned since the last patient. I was having a canulla put in my arm and was concerned about the blood. The young doctor doing it missed my vein as was so flustered and had to go into the other vein, I was asked to get onto the bed more and I explained I didn't want to as there was blood all over the bedding. They advised I needed to and this was the only room available. I was so worried. Infection control should be a bigger thing. Sticking needles in my arm when other people's blood is present is a issue just waiting to happen. I was really uncomfortable but told I needed to have bloods taken. Was then put back in the corridor before a bed was available. I felt so much better in the corridor than the dirty room.

The rest of the experience wasn't great but it is what it is. But that part really concerned me. I did provide feedback via the feedback form around this as well. I also managed to take a sneaky pic incase I did end up getting any complications from this so there is no point in denying this happened.

Was admitted to emergency for the first time Monday 24th February 1.15am..paramedics where great. Got put in a room eventually by myself. Questions, bloods taken and lots of pain meds for my hip area. Then got taken to a cubicle , still in pain. They just kept giving me pain meds. Asked when am I going to see a doctor? 5am now...nurse said in 6hours. By 6.30am a doctor came to see me. Checked down my spine. Asked me to lift my legs off bed and I couldn't. I told him my groin area was numb. So called Doctor ignored that. I asked for a xray or ultrasound!! He said we don't do MRI, He walked away. Nurse came in and I asked to go to toilet. I got up and took a few steps and vomited everywhere. Nurse was really nice and got me a gown and I kept vomiting. Got another gown for me and I never made it to the toilet. The nurse said ,the doctor said I can go home as he needs the bed. I asked if I could have a cup of tea. I took 2 sips and vomited. I rang my son to pick me up. I had to wait on a chair for him. I vomited again and a nurse walked past and gave me another sick bag and put the sick tablet on the arm of the chair..I couldn't find it. My son turned up , I got changed and we walked out side to cross walk and I vomited again. My son was so disgusted that they didn't keep me in. I went home and kept vomiting and still in pain. Finally slept and ended up been taken the next day by ambulance to Hollywood private as I refused to go back to joondalup. Got kept in for 8 days. Best care ,well looked after.Meds, ct scan, ultrasound and MRI. Bloods taken etc..
. Can't fault Hollywood. Will never go back to joondalup hospital again..
I paid $300 to go to Hollywood emergency department. You cannot claim on that...
