Poor medical care provided at this clinic. Was passed between two doctors within the clinic with no resolution of my health concern (Peter and Tim). Staff reassured me the second doctor would treat me as he was qualified to provide treatment - he googled my condition. Only positive was that both doctors reassured me that since they didn’t actually provide any care that they would just bulk bill me. Would highly recommend going to a different clinic.

I’ve followed Dr Peter Koster around three surgeries on the coast as he is the BEST!
Dr Koster is very thorough, knowledgeable and personable. Alongside this, the reception staff are very helpful and friendly. Of note, in my most recent encounter with the reception staff, Julie was amazing! She put my mind at ease when I was feeling worried and nervous about test results. Julie was very quick to follow up on the pending results and kept me well informed along the way. I was most impressed with her understanding and compassion. Thanks so much Julie, I am ever so grateful!

My experience with Dr Tim Shannon has been life changing. His knowledge and experience has helped me finally get the treatment I've desperately needed for a long time. He gave me options I didn't know I had. I highly recommend him.

If you are looking for a warm and welcoming medical practice for your elder family members, children or yourself please avoid this practice. The doctors are wonderful and extremely helpful but I cannot seem to look past the extremely rude receptionist, from the tone of her voice when speaking to patients to how demeaning and belittling she is towards everyone especially I noticed the elderly who need more patience and understanding which she very clearly lacks. From looking into the reviews of this practice it is clear I am not the only one who has had issues with the receptionist there and most importantly her behaviour some people should not take up the job of a receptionist if they can’t treat people with decency. What I witnessed was absolutely disgraceful and I would never send my grandparents here after seeing how some elderly people were spoken to by her. If this was my practice I would be appalled by the behaviour and simply wouldn’t want her at the desk, she is also known to speak on behalf of the doctor without their knowledge and make extremely ridiculous accusations to back her actions extremely disappointed with my experience here.

I was about to write a review as Dr Gillian has been so incredibly understanding and caring about me and my personal circumstances which have been terrible in recent months. I noticed a couple of negative reviews about the reception and was shocked. I mentioned to Dr Gillian that I was going to buy Julie (in particular) a gift for Christmas (whih I did) as I've got a 98 year old friend who attends and his carer daughterinlaw made mention how good the girls are specifically Julie for verification it was Emeric Engel and his daughterinlaw is Karleen. High praises for Julie. High Five for hiring great & caring staff & doctors.

I would highly recommend this lovely Medical Centre as they are very helpful, kind and thoughtful. I especially recommend seeing Dr Shannon as he has been our Family Physician for nearly 30 years and he always has the patience and knowledge to answer any questions. When the going gets tough he’s always in your corner and can think outside of the box for a variety of complicated ailments. They also have the benefit of the BEST Pharmacy on the coast that make you feel like you’re part of a family which is within the centre for convenience. I can sleep better knowing I have them in my life.

I accompanied my 86 year old father to his appointment on the 29 September 2021. He needed a medical certificate to accompany his licence. When we were seen by the doctor, he told my dad that you need to make a half hour appointment for this assessment to be done. My dad said he did when he booked his appointment and that when he spoke to the receptionist on the phone prior to his appointment, she reassured him he had. The doctor had to rush through the assessment and then blamed the reception staff for making appointments with patients to fit them in when he had told them not too. He said he was going to rev them up that afternoon.
The doctor then confirmed with us that my dad had a care plan booked in with the nurse in November to enable him to continue seeing the podiatrist as he is a diabetic and has already had one toe amputated. When we attempted to confirm this with reception, this wasn’t the case, no booking had been made for him. When dad and I left the medical centre, we both commented on how rude and unprofessional the receptionist was we dealt with, when we asked her to scan the medical certificate for dad’s licence, she did not answer our questions, she just ignored us, whilst we stood there. She could have said, I will be with you shortly, just let me scan these documents first. Then when she did talk to us, she contradicted the doctor who said an appointment was booked for his care plan.
I am glad I was with my elderly dad to witness this example of ageism!
