My first visit to this clinic and the staff were very helpful and pleasant.
I didn’t seem to be waiting for unreasonable amounts of time between initially waiting to see the nurse and to see the doctor. Both professionals were absolutely lovely and highly professional.
The chemist is also right there and I was able to have my script filled before leaving.
A great experience for a visit to the doctor 🙃

I was worried when I woke up with UTI and my own doctor's surgery was closed because of the holidays. A friend told me about Ipswich Medicare Urgent Care Clinic. I had no idea this facility was available and hurried down there to see if I could get the antibiotics I needed to stop the infection before it got any worse. I certainly did not want to wait two more days before my own doctor could see me. I also did not want to wait for hours at the crowded Ipswich hospital.
I was able to go to the desk immediately and was reassured the nurse would come to assess me. Sat in a lovely comfortable chair - looked at a beautiful painting of flowers which relaxed me, Carpeted floor and a patriotic display for Anzac Day. Quiet.
Before I knew it, the nurse called me in and assessed me and explained that the Doctor would call me in shortly. Which he did. Discussed my problem. got my prescription and away I went.
No charge! So grateful that this service was available and offered to me. I'm a pensioner. 81 years old.

Extremely disappointing experience at the urgent care centre, and I’m not surprised reading the previous reviews. You’d think for a place that practically begs you to leave a review, they’d be more conscious of how they present themselves and act.

Came in this morning with an issue that was no where near serious enough for a hospital visit, but needed to be seen.

After explaining what was going on, the nurse on duty tells me to “just go to the hospital” because they already had someone in the centre with “chest pains” and they couldn’t deal with me or didn’t have the time.

If it was serious enough for a hospital visit, i wouldn’t have wasted my time coming here.

What is the point of an urgent care clinic if people who are in urgent need to be seen are turned away? Why are your nurses directing patients to the hospital fully aware that the condition is not serious enough for a hospital visit and will result in the patient sitting in the ED for hours?

The treatment i received from the nurse on duty left me feeling like a burden for even considering using this publicly available service. Makes me question what actually goes on in this clinic if this is how your staff treat patients.

I will be informing the relevant departments and government bodies regarding this centre as it is clearly doing more harm than good.

The only benefit to this centre is the receptionists. They are all very lovely and deserve a work environment with better colleagues.

The owner also actively avoids acknowledging any feedback that isn’t inherently positive, so that should say enough.

We visited today after my daughter sustained a small but deep cut from a rusty outdoor chair. We were called quite quickly and taken in to see James the nurse on duty in the treatment room. Well, what can I say except that James was exactly who you’d want to meet in the treatment room! He was funny, caring and immediately made us feel relaxed. He happily let my other daughter join us when it was determined that the cut would need a couple of stitches. The lady in the treatment room was equally as nice. I think her name was Karen? Even the Doctor whose name I unfortunately don’t remember, chatted away to myself and the girls and they all just make the whole visit a really pleasant experience. It’s been a really tough few days for everyone in the area after Cyclone Alfred and poor James had even had his house flooded but still he was there with a smile on his face and a genuine passion for his job. Thank you all for treating us all with so much kindness. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ipswich Urgent Care to anyone. Five stars 🌟

I've been twice and this place is terrific. Genuine care, prompt attention and really empathetic and caring staff. I'm very grateful the clinic is available for so many hours and days per week and the staff are all very helpful, professional and knowledgeable. The clinic itself is quiet, modern, clean and easily accessible. 5 stars, thank you all so much!
